How does it work?

Unscrew them, unplug them and swap!

You know how much of a premium FL R8 front and rear lights go for! Its ridonkulous!

Very sutble facelift (just like the C6 RS6) so its strange the RS6 is the only C7 to have disappeared from the Config'

I bet the S6 has made 450 bhp all along - I always thought the claimed '420' was probably on the conservative side........

to be fair, side-by-side, i like the new lights - anyone have experience of this matirx led system?
but as all the panels are same, as DK mentioned, will be any easy swap over to the old style.

now the wait to see how the options are impacted and whether Audi will honor any pending orders in regards to contributions etc...

I'm not totally convinced the front LED lights will be interchangeable. The "drop down" area on the lights looks a fair bit shorter on the new style so there would be a gap.

If you look at where the light washers are located you can see that the drop down section doesn't end in the same place.

I think the new shape is a slight improvement overall, a little more aggressive.

Good point.
Looks like bodywork changes also.

I agree. I prefer the FL.

I think the issue here is that Audi have not been upfront to say that production/orders has been suspended whilst the factory switches to FL

Order cancelled. Although I like the current headlights, thats not enough to justify taking delivery of an "old" model some weeks after they have already started taking orders for the new one. Depreciation is going to be like a kick in the b*lls anyway, theres no need to voluntarily fit the steel toecaps.

Have asked to switch to the facelift and be the first customer on the books for it, at least at my dealership anyway. Will have the pain of waiting extended even further. Ah well.

After all I said about getting the current one and to hell with the facelift, I know exactly how I will feel when taking delivery of my new car and seeing a facelift model on the road a couple of months later. If it costs me my deposit or some/all of the dealer and audi contribution to avoid that feeling, then so be it.

So when will these be ready to order ?? And to come the lights like I said could let slip not too bad still prefer previous ones. But it's more about the fact the dealer was just making up so much crap along the way no no there will be no facelift etc, that has pissed me off, and there's no nice colour high spec demos either only standard colour I would have is Estoril otherwise I was going exclusive.

Looks like the FL model has lower CO2 as well (223 grams CO2 per kilometer) so will save £150 tax at purchase and then £200 a year...which just about pays for a sunroof (over 5 years!)

I wonder if they have shaved some weight off to get this new figure - or perhaps they have just frigged the economy test better than last time (as COD and stop/start are already there on the pre-FL model)...

After seeing the changes to the FL I'm not to worried now. I quite like them so if it is the case that my order is pushed to the face lift then so be it. Just hope it's not to long a wait for delivery.

I can understand someone spunking money into a C7 RS6 being pissed off if a revised (upgraded) model was announced as they were taking delivery, but I'm struggling to understand why the opposite would apply?

Surely if Audi have closed the book to accommodate the facelift model & current orders get a newer model then that must basically be an unexpected bonus?

I think I can answer this for the two folk above .... Beside the cosmetic visual changes .. which either we/you/they/I like or dislike .. for instance, I can kinda now could live with the front light changes seeing the new pics .. but OMG that ass looks ugly now ... (yes in the pics.. may be different in real life)

Face lift will be probably 1K GBP more .. dealer and finance contributions are (currently predicted) to be NOT honoured .. so FL means to us "unaccepted orderers" 5K to 9K GBP more money we have to find ...

is that simple enough ???

However IF (<<CAPS) Audi honour the contributions and also absorb the price uplift .. I'll eat humble pie and apologise to all

I would suggest that sensible discussions can be had around cost, finance etc. I am nearing an acceptable arrangement.

I don't do second owner car, never have done for over 25 years, wont do now .. us "muppets" who buy new and get "ripped a new one on depreciation" are the reason others get what we sell second hand later .. you should thank us :beerchug:

Other option is you find me a sepang blue, silver interior and with the spec I want and them yes I will but "delivery / demo"
