Bank jobs where you need a getaway car are so 1990. Nowadays, you just need a powerful computer and a few stolen passwords :)

BINGO Surrey Sam

Mate, you photo'd that sprint blue car with the "cheeky" S6 badge on the back.

Tell you what, that's a clever way to make the car less desirable to thieves.

That's an odd but if misbadging
Surely if you didn't want to give a sporting impression, you'd affix a 2.0d badge, no ?

Nah, it makes perfect sense. Anyone could see that it's not a TDi, but it takes a much more discerning eye to tell the difference between an S and an RS. Anyone looking for an RS for mischief is slightly more likely to be fooled.

Is a badge change alone really worth it considering the amount of other RS logos all over the car? i.e You just have to cover the calipers up (RS logo), change the interior (RS logos everywhere inc embossed into the seats), the exhaust tips (needs quads not ovals), change the alloys and finally change the honeycomb RS grill :D

Personally I think that if they are looking for an RS, no amount of badge changes and/or debadging will help. If they want an RS they will know exactly what one looks like. Afterall, these are professionals.

The thieves are professional but the little oiks they pay to ride around on their BMXs looking for potential targets could be thrown by a badge.

Indeed, one assumes they didn't check the VIN on Eddie's car for the sake of it.
