Small update.

1. Stage 1 remap. most impressed. Not going to spend much time fine tuning as stage 2 is round the corner. huge improvement over stock. deffo worth it on a completely stock car.

2. Spark Plugs ordered. Running around 1.8bar (1.2bar stock) I was not keen to stay with the standard plug. I used denso Iridium in my Evo running 1.7-1.8bar with no issues, great plug BUT got cold feet and went with NGKR7437-9, only £26 per plug

3. 3 " Downpipes ordered £753 delivered. Excellent price compared to Milltek and the like they are around £1400 for 3"

4. Milltek non-res ordered from Revolution. Fantastic price!!!

not looked at the intakes yet. They will be next on my list

just need to finish fitting my 2 post ramp and bolt them on.

Seems a fair plan... i look forward to it :P i'm getting a little fed up of the C6 now! putting the new Radi-Cal 6 pots on with my 410mm irons and then thats probably the last bit of modifying i'll do.
Barring spending 10k+ on 900+ there's not much more i can do, might do downpipes and a better exhaust the milly is too boomey at low revs and too quiet higher up.
But i'm saving for a C7 mainly... need the practicality or i'd have had a GTR.

I never did the DPs on my C6, I looked a couple of times but did not fancy it much lol should make a big difference though.

The C6 just does things right. The C7 is a nicer place to be but the torque steer (if its that) thing is really annoying. C6 never showed any signs of it. I have been playing with the diff settings and it seems better (I think very hard to tell, not done enough testing yet) in auto. Planning on buying the front and rear diff metal inserts see what that does.

I don't miss my GTR, even a tiny bit. Really cool car to own and look at but it is so unusable. Cant park it anywhere for fear of damage or getting stolen, big boot but no back seats to speak of, even then only 2. too extreme for a leisurely drive. anytime we went away we took the X1 that's itself tell a story, well maybe I do miss the power lol

Ah right, well i think i'll probably get the DP's done and another map but once im at that point it'll be getting left well alone as i just dont want to "waste" the money to get very little return when i sell it on.

Nice to know your perspective on the C6 vs C7, i love the interior on the C7 and its overall looks are much nicer than the C6, interesting that they have moved away from 8 pot ceramics and down to 6 pots.
Also the one thing i really dont like about the C7 is the fully plastic centre console under the armrest, on the C6 its less obvious but it stands out (to me anyway) on the C7 and kinda ruins the overall "well built" feel... same with the door cards they just feel cheap, other than that i cant whinge everything else is gorgeous.
Performance wise they are equal to a stage 2 C6 so no issues there... the one thing i will ask though, which sound do you prefer? the V10 or the V8? and what are these inserts? do they make it bit more limited slip?

As for the GTR that changes my opinion quite a lot... i had the choice when i bought the 6 between a GTR and the RS i picked the RS due to it being so much more practicle.
Sounds like i made the right choice.

Also, the knee pads either side of the transmission tunnel are Alcantara on my car (not sure if that is standard or because I have Alcantara seats).

Edit: actually I think the demo car I drove with full leather had the Alcantara knee pads too.

deffo go for the FL.

LEDs are standard, coolest lights in the world. never have to dip they just sort it out. They only dip the individual leds they need to. Very very good
Double glazing standard (added due to noise complaints)
door cards
cool sweeping indicators, that's got to be worth it.

The demo I drove was pre FL and the wind noise wound me up. My FL is more or less silent.

I am sure there are more upgrades
