Good luck mate, it’s <beep> what you are going through, it’s the risks taken when mapping no doubt about it but still <beep>. You'd have been better off stopping right there.

As for all the do gooders on here or so called “enthusiasts” as they like to call themselves (or keyboard warriors as I like to call them) they are the reason why this forum has the least comradery of any forum I’ve ever been on what? really? take it you've done something that others didn't agree with? There are a lot of friendly and helpful folk on here!!. That’s my opinion of course but I’m entitled to it <<<<<< love that bit, you're basically saying you're entitled to an opinion, but others aren't. . Keep in touch mate Image fingers crossed for you Image

Kinda funny that you call the do gooders, ''keyboard warriors'' (cowards basically), cause you're actually sticking up for the biggest coward in the thread by not admitting HE had the car remapped.

If nothing else - this thread ought to be a wake up call for anyone thinking of mapping a C7! £40k if it goes wrong!?

I feel for Mr Joinery, I really do - but doubling down on the problem by trying to commit fraud with Audi is not the answer. You need to try to build some evidence that the map caused the failure and take this up with revo.

this is the way to go if the OP speaks to Audi dealer that spotted the map they might be able to help with the info and evidence to prove the Map was the cause of the issues and hopefully you would get it repaired by the mapper

And remember, don't write anything on here that you wouldn't say to someone's face because, well... actually, there doesn't seem to be an explanation to that one. It just seems that Matt Meyler will threaten you, across the Internet, until he realises how silly he sounds and just whithers away.

Anyway, however this pans out, it'd be nice if the OP swallows his pride and keeps us updated. Putting pressure on the tuner may be the only option, presenting options might also help, like tracking down a wrecked car with a good engine. It's a more feasible route but it still leaves you with a 'tainted' car.
I wonder if the car's value is tied up in finance?

Yep. Which begs the question: what is he going to do when I give him my opinion, to his face?

Still here bam bam, don’t forget to let me know when exactly your up here, I’m withering away to nowhere!

Let’s see if you do as you say, I look forward to meeting you and please don’t take the fact I’m not rising to your insults as a sign of I’m not reading them from here on, I’m just making a list of things that you are going to have the balls to say to my face.

This has gone way beyond an “opinion” you horrible waste of space this you have made personal with the continuing insults and baiting, let’s see if you have the minerals to not only say your opinion but repeat the insults also to my face like a man and not a keyboard warrior as I suspect you are.

Im done here look forward to your message.

Mattmeyler19 you was the one who started this aggressive tone in the thread for no reason whatsoever. People were only giving an opinion prior to your keyboard warrior comments. I’m not sure why you are getting so angry.

If you can’t appreciate people’s wit, sarcasm or humour then don’t get involved but there is no need for taking the tone which you have done. Life is to short for such things. Chill out man.

Yeah

Matt? Yes mate?
I have some things to say to you (says things)
Ok, I find that rather objectionable.
Should we fight it out?
All seems to amount to the square root of <beep> all now really, probably best not to.

You're done here, really? Well we'll see if you can manage to hold yourself back on that promise. I may have made this all very personal in your mind but I fail to see it, they're just words, mate, what are you going to do about it?
Anyways, let this highlight the complete redundancy of Matt Meyler's "motto", it's there just to cover up that he cannot deal with the Internet. So people, when Matt Meyler (and others like him) can't deal with your 'opinions' they get frustrated, and they call upon the only warcry they know "Keyboard Warrior", which is funny, because they use a keyboard to do this. So in reality, they're actually a "Keyboard Weakling" and they're offering you a compliment, so take the pat on the back, you've beaten them.
Just be mindful though, the predictable second act is always "well, say that to my face" and you'll have to travel across the country (because they're lazy) and say it to their face. Which to all intents and purposes, is actually perfectly legal and above board, I mean, THEY invited YOU, so what are they going to do? What could they possibly do to you? Hopefully give you their opinion back and you'll wonder why they couldn't do that on the Internet?!! Although remember, they're not very good with opinions and how to respond, so what happens, would they dare assault you? Surely not, especially after creating such a publicly documented exchange with you. I mean, assault and battery is a pretty serious thing, it can affect so many aspects of one's life. But you'll probably end up with a broken nose, black eyes maybe some cuts etc. That all heals in time and chicks dig scars. Anyways, all fights end up on the ground, where limb bars trend to cause proper end to proceedings.
So, if you get called a "Keyboard Warrior", you're doing it right. If you're calling someone a Keyboard Warrior, you got mad and you've lost, take your medicine.
No matter where you go, there you are.
