My valves were disconnected so I could get the nice V8 rumble all the time without having to go into Sport mode and have the pops and bangs.
My car spent 99% of the time in dynamic mode. I would use the gear lever to swap between D mode (everything dynamic except throttle response, gear changes and no pops) and S mode (sharper throttle response, higher gear change point and pops and bangs). Essentially I would drive most of the time in Dynamic but D then as I approached a junction or wanted to overtake I would slip it into S then when back at cruising speed I'd go back into D. Or stay in S if I'm really pushing on. This worked out perfect for me and really miss this in the new car (either I'm in Dynamic which is a little 'soft' in term of gear changes, or it's race mode which is perfect for driving except all driver aids are turned off).
