Must admit I'm really reconsidering getting an RS6, given Eddie's sh!t experience. Having a fast estate really seems to attract <beep>'s.

There no guarantee of being thief resistant, but GT4's are doable for 90; tempting.

Yes, my wife's first comment when I told her about Eddie was to cancel my order.

I had an A8 Sport as a loaner recently while my RS4 was in the body Shop and the Parking Pack Advanced (over head camera) is mind blowing - a great option and one of Audi's best kept secrets.

Great spec, and I am a believer in 'if you can... DO!"

I'd love a bash in a GT4. The one I saw was at an OPC. They change hands pretty much instantly.

That's probably a 90k car, quite basic spec.

SNAP - My Mrs; who is already miffed at the fact that we are gonna spend xxx on an estate car, then said - hang on you are opening an office in Birmingham! WTF?

I of course am ignoring the cancel directive; simple fact is that if you like cars at the level we do, then it will always be desirable - we like fast desirable cars. Even eddie said that his Impreza super duper was nearly nicked a few years ago.

For me at nearly 40, Daddy cool is where I like to be! i.e. we can all have fun in it together. I will however be heeding this discussion and applying suitable covert car management and cctv systems!

Guys - have a tracker fitted by all means, but the guys are trained to put them in places that can be easily worked out.... (think outside of that box)

She quickly dropped the suggestion, probably just after she realised if I cancel mine then she will need to get rid of hers. And the fact someone had their Nissan quasqai stolen helped because it shows its not just RSs being stolen.

Can't see many Qashquis being taken at gun point, though.

Guys please don't let my Fooked up situation put a downer on your new car orders. In all intensive purposes it all looks like to me that mine was stolen by a professional gang and probs to order. As you are all aware they were adamant to get my car and the chances of them having to plan all that to get one of yours is probs very slim.

My conspiracy theory is this.
They have someone on the inside either at Audi or Vodafone/cobra track. They get a list of which RS has what tracker fitted where. My car was registered with a dvla plate as new then I transfer my private plate on it. When they came to my house to check the VIN they were making certain it was the right car. I then made it impossible for them to take at my house so hence why I believe they stuck a GPS tracker underneath my car to find out where other places I park for long periods and that's how they got me at work.
To me that's how they done it and the way to avoid it happening to you guys I'd say don't register the car at your home address. Don't have Audi do your tracker if like me you have to have it for insurance purposes. Also don't bother making hard for them to steal cause then they have no alternative but to put you in danger may it be gun or a different weapon to hijack it off you.

Good luck guys. You will love the car though and TBH I will miss it like mad.
