Very nice Mike. Congrats.

I can open and close my tailgate from both the door button and my remote. You have to be quite close though. No more than about 5 feet. It makes a stupid noise as its closing a bit like a bin Lorry reversing.

Could've been user error then! I wasn't that close to be fair, to myself.

Do you all have advanced key?

The Audi brochure and configurator don't make it clear about the start button though. The only reference I can find is when they talk about the advanced key.

All C7 model have a start button. From the entry model 2.0 Tdi all they way to the RS6. If you get Advanced Key you can leave the key in you pocket and still be able to open the door. On the Avant models you also get hands-free boot opening (Not on C7 Allroad).

Niclas

Ok, that for all the info. A quick google also shows that if your remote doesn't close the boot, it can be activated using VCDS.
And as they all have a start button, do I still want to pay £750 for the foot wiggle and keep key in pocket. Hmmmm.

I had a quote for 2 normal RS6s from Coventry (through carwow) with about 14k discount on a 92k and a 97k car (roughly about 15%). When the book for the performance version was opened last week I contacted them and asked if the same discount would apply, they asked for new config code and they came back with the same sort of discounts. I asked the dealer my wife just bought her RS3 from if they would match it and the did (stating they wouldn't normally give such a high discount and wanted a copy of the offer in case they had to defend the discount later). My final spec came out just under 92k, which was 78k (me thinks closer to 79k) with discounts.

What are people's thoughts on the blue carbon interior trim? Having not seen it in the flesh it might be ghastly. I currently have it ordered and am wondering the whether to play it safe and go for the normal carbon?

It could look amazing with your blue stitching.... I would be very nervous speccing it without seeing a sample!

Well done. That's going to be a cracking car
BMW 540i
2018 GTR
F90 M5
X3MC
RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp
