You must have the patience of a saint. Most people would've hit the roof!

That's the kind of repair I'd expect from a shady back-alley garage

Back to topic my engine has ceased and it needs a new engine. It's been in audi for two weeks and they have told me the news today and the car has been mapped and Warrenty is void. I am telling them now that it was obviously the last owner that has had it mapped. Only had the car two months

Won’t make no difference to Audi that excuse won’t wash with them. One of the pitfalls of mapping sadly hope you get it sorted.

I feel for you mate. That’s big bucks. I assume you didn’t buy it from Audi or another dealer?? If you did and they sold it as standard you may have some come back

So why start this thread back in Oct, if it wasn't mapped? Something doesn't add up?

Seems like a case of caught with pants down. If, as it seems, it was mapped in your possession and you didn’t understand the consequences if things went wrong then that’s naive in the extreme.

It was Brighton Audi. I did buy the car from them plus it wasn’t mapped. It was the first RS6 C7 they had done such a large job on £ 40k. It has completely stopped me in my tracks to do anything to it now. I had planned to have it mapped that won’t happen now.
