It was actually a strange conversation. They first asked if I still owned it. Baffled.com I replied and informed them it was stolen 13 months ago. Oh they said. We need to interview you asap then. Duh ok!!

It may seem it is on my plates. Because they asked about my Reg first then confirmed it was the RS6. Funny thing is I took the reg off with DVLA 2 weeks ago. The vin would relate to the old reg now which is what the V5 says(which I have back)

When do you find out? That is assuming they tell you anything as they said they want to interview you so sounds like they are gathering evidence to prosecute someone and therefore might not be able to reveal anything about what or who they have found.

Looks like the plate change might have triggered some sort of ANPR, a stop and then a cross reference against the Vin has shown things not to be right. Bit surprised your car is still around on UK shores, after the way it was taken I would have thought it would have been straight out the country.

Am not surprised about the Eastern European gang connections Eddie, I've spent the last few months working in the Brum area and there's a lot of Gang activity up there. Having said that they get everywhere-in London they target rich areas and also individuals and the getaway vehicle of choice is increasingly the moped! Incidentally instructions to The Met from their Head Shed are not to pursue fleeing criminals on bikes to reduce the risk of injury to the criminals/members of the public. No update yet soz. The cops cancelled on me. Said they didn't have enough info from South Wales police to carry on with interview. Still awaiting next appointment.
