Just trawled the pre and post RS7 brochures as a point of comparison. They've done away with a number of options (heat and sound insulating glass as an example) and the individual 'assist' items which are now a package.

Base model up 995, not a great deal of change in basic kit, several options up in price.

Biggest difference I saw was that there was no longer a Dynamic Pack option so you have to buy the elements separately. I can't remember the exact cost but it was only around £800 before on the RS7 but now if you want DRC, Dynamic Steering and Top speed increase to 174mph it's another £3,660!!!! I'm going to guess that there will be a lot more running around on Air Suspension in the future or bit the bullet and go for the Dynamic Pack plus and therefore putting more demand for ceramics.

Same goes for parking etc. You now have to buy a parking pack with park assist to get the corner view camera.

Only good news is that there are a few more colour options and you can now get a black styling pack with mirrors at a sensible price without having to pay out for the carbon pack.

Will be interesting to see if the RS6 options goes down the same route.

Be good to see the rs6 go the same way, as I really like the black styling, but I'd wince at paying several £k for the carbon pack to get it

After the facelift, will there be an option for headlights or not? If not the facelift does not seem all that different than my MY 14, damn i sold it, miss it toooo much.. :bash:
Also a question since i perhaps am going to order a new one MY 15 facelift, what about dynamic steering, i do not quite get it, my MY 14 not optioned dynamic steering had the possibility to do dynamic steering comfort - dynamic... I always had it in dynamic, didn't really enjoy the other modes.

All the indications are that the FL RS6 will have Matrix LEDs as standard, with no options for other headlight configurations.

No, conventional LED - i.e. with dipped and main beam settings. Matrix lights are always on main beam and just blank out the bits that need to be dipped - worth googling for videos and technical description.

Plus, matrix LED uses navigation data to enhance lighting in curves, conventional LED doesn't (though Xenons do).
