Ha ok I'll give you that - If I'm being honest I also never had a pan roof fault with any my Landrovers over the years, they just stuck to electronics errors for me :boohoo: I'm just still sore over my 3month old Vouge Autobiography going in to limp mode with a gear box seal in Paris central on me 4 years ago !
You are allowed to moan about Landrovers if you have actually owned one/some :bigblink:. I generally buy Autobiographys and really haven't had any material issues at all. Central locking went wonky on the one before the current car, and that's about it. Sometimes the key would open all the doors and other times just the drivers door, and every time I took it to the dealer it worked fine (and of course all dealers are the same - if they can't see it they can't fix it).
Currently running:
18 plate Lamborghini Huracan Performante (5.2l of V10 naturally aspirated craziness)
67 plate RS6 Performance (fully loaded)
66 plate Range Rover Autobiography (for wafting around)
16 plate Mini Cooper S convertible (lots of fun but rather skittish when thrashed)

Favourite car ever owned:
1971 Citroen DS21 - The Goddess (pure art on wheels)

Give over. Pan roof doesn’t mean a car is high spec. That’s Ceramics, DRC, alcantara head lining, Carbon exterior. If I wanted a pan roof I’d have ordered the car with a pan roof. As it happens my TTS does have a glass roof, but that was more for the look than the feature, reckon I’ve opened it once.

As for anyone buying that JLR garbage made from old biscuit wrappers in the miiiiidlands you’ve only yourself to blame.

How do you see through all the smog and coal dust? Still you keep the Scots at bay.

If I was ordering new I’d have ticked the pano roof box as I did in the last few cars as it’s a nice feature.

However when hunting for the 6 I took what was nearest to having the options I wanted in the colour I wanted so it wasn’t a deal breaker.

I wouldn't have minded a pan roof but I all honesty, unless your sitting in the back the difference is negligible. Just couldn't find a car with my must have spec (assisstance, park camera, dynamic) that also came with the roof.

Pan roof on nearly every car I've bought over the past 9yrs- purely on the basis, residuals will be similar, and we will always go with the better specced car when we are looking to purchase. Guy who bought my Sepang was a deal breaker for him having Pan.

When I bought my Nardo, was also a deal breaker when looking, though so was HUD, and not DRC..... OEM Sports exhaust less so as a Millie was always in the plan...

Not really. It looks pony when it is open. If it would slide into the roof itself when open then that would be different but it just sits on top of the car like stick on part. That's the problem with pano roofs. Then I hear you say "but it lets more light into the car". It's not a kitchen, I don't want more light in the car; personally I like to be able to see the screen and the dials on a sunny day.

I mean look at it:

Seriously though, we should arrange a RS6 meet, the Pan lads and the none Pan lads.. Then just have that scene out of Anchorman when the two stations collided :bash:

Mike has a good point - they look cr4p with the roof open - and in 9 yrs having them, I've opened them the sum total of 3times - NEVER even opened the roof on my Nardo, and had it a year!!!
