That "hiccup" made me crazy and thats why i deactivated the 4-cyl modus. Saving petrol in 4-cyl? I dont think so! Last trip was was 31 mpg (UK) at family cruising speed 60 mph average .
(2017 PF)
I'm curious as to whether that was an average for your whole trip of 31mpg and, if so, how many miles was this family cruising trip? Also, what sort of lifetime average mpg are you achieving, if you don't mind telling?
Harrier ,

Please give me your thoughts on the DMS map please when you get chance its in the map thread page 1.

Interested to see how you can deactivate this.... I get the hiccup when I’m cruising on the motorway going from green to white 2014, on a trip few weeks ago I was almost getting average 30mpg but it’s a rs6... I don’t need good mpg so deactivating this I’m interested in 🤪

I had noticed that especially since I added the non-res section to my Milltek, when the car went into cruising at sub-2krpm, that I was getting a noticeable and annoying drone/resonance. Another person mentioned it on that link above and it is indeed linked to COD, as well as your hiccup.

MRC are disabling it totally on the remap next month for me.
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

Perhaps read the link regarding the particular scenario being discussed with NON-STANDARD cars and try to stop coming across as quite so trollish with your various Audi ass-kissing posts on here? Turnip. :assflash:

Don't understand why cylinder deactivation would annoy anyone. The engine still has a nice but understated richness to it. In fact, from time to time l switch off my music to enjoy that mildly sonorous tone during deactivation. Maybe it's just me..

Now a matter of fact: should we be buying RS model cars for their green credentials? I honestly doubt it.
