After picking my B7 up from MRC a few weeks ago with lots of extra power I had to take it for an MOT last week. On the way to the MOT I heard a knock from what I thought was the prop. Asked the garage to check for any proble.s but they said they couldn't see any problems. Passed the MOT with no advisories. So i booked it in to MRC and was on the way today when I hear a bang and lost all drive. Looks like the front left driveshaft is spinning but not turning the wheel so most like the CV joint has come out or failed.

Oh, and as he couldn't get the normal wheel straps on as it was too low, he managed to damage 3 of the wheels with the other straps.

Yeah he took photos too and pointed it out before I even noticed it to be fair. And said he'd put it in as a claim.

FYI Audi rent the courtesy cars for their recovery service from normal car rental places. My wife got an Astra when hers broke down until she locked off and need up with an Audi bit they said all they could get at the time was the astra.

Do make me nervous these threads! 😱
Hope they are both easy fixes!

(I had a car from audi assist on Sunday in 3-4hrs, enterprise cars - 16 plate 520d.)
Flame me now but I said to the service man at audi that this is the worst thing that could have happened- 520 in sport mode rode and handled better than the 6!

Made me thing about th dark side But the looks are keeping me in the RS!

Finally got hold of VW audi group courtesy car team nearly 9hrs after car was recovered. They will sort something out for tomorrow but it won't be a delivery as Sunday is classed as out of normal hours. They will send a taxi and I will go and collect.

I feel a key board warrior moment coming on 😂😂😂

It must be one of those days. Just heard a smash outside and found that the plastic endcap to my home aircon unit, which hangs out of the window, has popped off and hit the roof of the SQ5, parked underneath the bedroom window, leaving a 2 inch dent. Fcuking balls.

Bad day cont'd....- lemans 24hr. Rouen -lemans toll, stopped by police for speeding. €90 fine, bloke in porsche in front €500 fine. Six month ban!!!
Arrived in lemans. Friday evening, so know i was going to have run the gauntlet of the mongrels that congregate for 'mad friday'. Anyhow some young chap in a large group decides to jump on the bonnet of the car as i wasnt going to stop for them and his pesky water pistol no doubt filled with beer n piss!. But he jumped on it hard and i could see he caused a dent, so i floored it a little 😜 thinking then a stiff prod with the brake pedal would dislodge the little scrote (normally quite a placid fellow !) What i didnt see though, was his numpty pal who was also stood in front of the car..... so suddenly 2 people on the bonnet one smashed his face on the bonnet then windscreen and then both flung on the floor in front of the car ! Queue the bleeding hearts mob telling me im 'gonna get it cos we filmed it all' and one tried to punch me through the open window😡. Drove into campsite where security pulled me and told me to sit tight for the gendarmes. They had already been made aware of the 'incident' as the ambulance was now taking mr no teeth to the hospital. They viewed the videos and decided No fault of mine and fair play to me cos they all wankers doing it. One of the gendarmestold me had a new A7 and he was more interested in the rs6 than anything else. So 1 speeding fine a properly dented bonnet and drivers door where some clown kicked it. Car covered in blood along with my fave shirt. Bad day? If the rs6 goes into limp home mode tommorow on way back im done for....

Lemans with no audi is just not the same. 9th year here and this race needs audi !
Other than that bloody good trip. Bit hot though, burnt me eyelids I think😫

Aye. This is why, if camping anywhere near Houx best to leave anything nice at camp. Can't be doing with the silly <beep> who insist on causing chaos every year.

Still, at least it's not a Toyota.
