Re: Deformed Wheels Register
Thanks guys. Once I have a bill from Audi, I will be claiming....

Re: Deformed Wheels Register
Start the claim now so it is logged, the delays you will come across will mean you have time to get bills sorted. In most cases you are looking for the Highways Dept of the Regional or County Council. If it was in Swindon then https://www.swindon.gov.uk/info/20040/r ... ent_damage .
Good section on it here. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/pothole-claims
They will require photos but also showing the depth of the hole.
I put my keyfob against the edge of the hole showing how deep it was. If you can get a ruler then do so.
It is worth reporting the pothole as soon as possible. Looking at your pothole there is already the marker paint around it highlighting that they are aware and it is marked for repair. This indicates they cannot really defend the situation and should help you.
In most cases they will delay and avoid where possible so just get a name and stay on top of them. Give them a date by which you expect response on all occasions. You don't often need to take them to court if you handle it well. At the end of the day the claims result in loss of funds to make the repairs so its a bum of a situation. You quite fairly want a repayment but also want the hole fixed !

Re: Deformed Wheels Register
I see nobody has posted to this thread in a while, but wanted to add my history to it because I think it may be an ongoing issue:
Car: RS6 Performance
Wheels: 21" x 9.5J 5-V-Spoke titanium look, 285/30 as supplied.
Date Registered: June 2017
Date of Problem: Feb 2018
Mileage: 7500
Problem: OSF and NSR wheels buckled
Garage: Exeter Audi
Solution: Agreed to replace as a gesture of goodwill
What caused it?: No idea, but I'm adamant I haven't hit anything bigger than a catseye, and certainly not twice, on opposite corners of the car. They are adamant that there is no history of these wheels buckling.

Re: Deformed Wheels Register
Only the 2nd report on here of the Performance wheels suffering though.
Re: Deformed Wheels Register
I recently hit two pot holes within a couple of days of each other, one on drivers side and one on passenger side. Needed two new tyres and have been told by dealer both front wheels are buckled. They are performance wheels, which I understood to be tougher, based on very few complaints.

Re: Deformed Wheels Register
Yes it seemed that way. But that's 3 sets now.
Re: Deformed Wheels Register
Quick update,
New wheels this time last year, hit a pothole couple of weeks ago, went to local tyre Shop to get checked/balanced, found out I’ve got two buckled wheels (both offside), that need replacing...

Re: Deformed Wheels Register
Make a claim if you can... I have claims with two councils at the moment. Southend Council have just agreed a breach of duty and to refund me for my tyre @ £375.00. The wheel claim went in to them a week later, after being diagnosed by the dealer, but as they have already admitted fault, I hope that should come through anytime. Still waiting for a reply from Essex Council.

Re: Deformed Wheels Register
Hi Everyone,
Exactly the same issue
Rs 6 Performance
2016
11,700 Miles (10,300 from purchase)
Audi approved used December 2017
21" 5 -V- spoke alloys
4 wheels affected (2 on 2 separate occasions) in three months
Dealer: Amersham Audi
Cost so far £2,586
They are also saying they have never had the problem before!!
I paid £2,500 for two new wheels in January, just been told last week the same two wheels are buckled again after reporting slight vibration and insisting it goes for a forced wheel alignment. Not recollection of hitting anything noticeable.
This is shocking. We have a baby on the way and seriously considering getting rid of the car as not comfortable that this is not a safety issue.
Any one have any luck with compensation or refund? Any response from Audi UK?

Re: Deformed Wheels Register
You can buy a new set with tyres for less than £3k via ebay.de
Don’t pay dealer prices.
Or get some 20s and then you don’t have to worry.
