Love the car mostly but found it too front end heavy during a drive. Made it less agile than the newer tuned V8 they offer.
Agree re the stock car discount. Make certain you have the shirt of their back.

Sorry but I do have to say I would not go for that colour. Resale will be impacted.
I also worry that whatever comes next with the new AMG relationship may just dinosaur this car very quickly. I agree re the last of the V12 stuff but the AMG V8 engines are monsters that stand a good chance of eclipsing these cars quickly. Bit of a risk from my viewpoint.

It would need a good offer if I am honest. Sorry to be a bore.

I decided not to go ahead. Only based on the colour; and the Grand Tour comment. Humorous maybe but as many said at resale it will hurt it.

The V12S Manual is bonkers and should be in a bonkers colour I think.

The new model next year will no doubt move the styling forward and have a bullet proof engine/electrics/gearbox/everything; but sadly as a re-bodied AMG GT it will lose a little of its soul IMHO.

I will continue to look for a last of the line Vantage; maybe another comes up or a Volante in the next couple of months.

Thanks for all the opinions and Merry Christmas to all ;-)

I almost got the AM V12 i/s/o of the RS6. Love the V12, love the stick shift, love the exhaust. It's always on my mind....the "what if" question. I'd suggest going for it mate!!!!

There's really no need for that yellow sh1te all over a road-going Aston. I do love the width of that car though, if only they got the wheels to sit better in those lovely arches.

I actually liked the 'brown'!

I agree, the stripes look stupid on the Aston. I even think the GT8 and GT12 are too 'try hard' trying to be mimic a GT3 RS.

For me, the wildest they should get is when just the 'lips' of the grille are painted a different colour as this harks back to the old racing DB4s etc, so is acceptable in my book.

I'd go for the Flugplatz V12 S for £97k or the Yellow V12 S for £99k

For a GT8 or GT12 perhaps but not on a normal run Aston. Reminds me of the Rover 200 BRM limited edition and that's not a good thing.

Ouch that really hurts!

I love the yellow accents.

The Rover comparison is particularly painful to read :beerchug:

But given I have a Daytona RS6 I need something more colourful. The other Vantage is Grand Tour Brown so is out. This one is a grey/green and the yellow accents I think set it off nicely.

For 2017 they do a new manual box in the V12S, most likely they will only sell< 100 of them between now and when production finishes; there has not been a manual option for a couple of years now.

They are around £170k but I should pay a little less than that.

Even 5 year old ones are still holding £100k if low mileage and I think in the future they will hold/appreciate as the last of the manual non-Turbo V12 sports cars, even with yellow lips ;-)

Funny - they are not exactly cars for similar requirements.

However as a pair I think it is the perfect bucket list combo ;-)
