I've been looking at Blue RS6's recently and had my mind set on Mica Racing Blue, but it did come down to a toss up between that and Mystic Blue. However, I've seen a number of A6 estates in the Moonlight Blue and for the regular A6 it was the colour of choice for me without going exclusive. Blue suits the RS6 the best IMO, despite being torn on many other colours...

Yeah Racing Mica is pretty close to Ford's Imperial Blue (Mondeos were Performance Blue, I think), and there's a BMW blue that's really close too... San Marino maybe? Doesn't make it suit the RS any less though, I absolutely love mine.

It's not pretty close, it's the same paint.

Along with the RS4 I still have a Focus ST170 in imperial blue which probably explains why I really like Mica Racing Blue!

Thanks for all the replies. That estoril blue is the look I was after but gutted it's not available now. The Mica and the the midnight blue ones are nice but think i want to go for something in between. I've seen s3s back in the day in dark blue too so trip to Audi I think to look through the colours and see if I can find any cars on forecourts to get a gauge of the colours.
Thanks

I do, but it's not the best (lighting is terrible).

I wanted Estoril but they had cancelled it before I ordered. As far as I know, there is nothing close to it in the mainstream range of colours. Sepang is much brighter, as are the other commonly suggested alternatives. Too bright and "in your face" for me - I was looking for something reasonably low-key.

In the end, I went for Panther Black. It's a lot more low-key than Estoril on a day-to-day basis but when the sun shines it becomes a riot of purple with sparkling gold, silver and red. Stunning.

Aparently, Estoril was culled because it was proving difficult to colour match - even for Audi themselves when touching up cars on the production line. I am glad to say that, having been smacked (lightly) in the rear by a double-decker bus, the bodyshop was able to get a perfect colour-match on Panther black - even when viewed in the sunshine (took them two goes, mind you - the first attempt must have been done at night time by the light of a mobile phone).

I had to seattle with 'only' a S6 but glad about the estoril. Not the easiest colour to keep clean, but most RS's are black or greys here :(.

Mugello blue?

Looks really smart in the flesh - and particularly like it on B7 RS4 saloons
