If this post is for real, we are all enjoying 60 in 3.27 sec, so you should be ahead of that surely?

Also, with the rear AC, you can control it from the MMI. NOt sure if you can lock it out though.
OMG: Now you have got the excitement level up, that could make the PE erm I dunno. 3.2 to 60?

It was just SOOO quick when i borrowed one

doodlebug wrote:B&O is an interesting one. 6k for some updated kit in an object with the acoustics of a bean can is a tough one. I love music, but I'd sooner add another black box to the pile of Naim kit in a room with decent acoustics. It's also a load of extra things to rattle and go wrong.....which will require dismantling of the dash.

You've missed off the Alcantara headlining.....shame there's no extended leather options, dropped on facelift.
Is the Alcantara not standard on the PE? When I looked at the photos it looks like custom alcantara with the blue stitching?

With you on the stereo stuff, I own B&O 800 series (Nautilus), but in my house I cannot drive them due to it being a townhouse.... therefore my musical volume indulgence normally takes place on the road.

Mike I get you - buddy how easy is it to retrofit these cars up? Martin at Audi says the B&O is awesome.

I dunno I spec'd what I really needed plus a little of what I'd want. I mean I'd love that jedi nightlight thingy and Ceramics..... but then I'd be adding another 13k!!!

I had both kids in the back on the test drive and they both thought it was really cool... followed by dad I'm hot, dad I'm cold, dad I'm hot. Not sure if you can disable it but I feel like this is going to be the source of a few arguements soon.

I love music too, but what I heard of the B&O wasn't 6.3k worth of good sounds. I could put together a better sound for a fraction of that. I have a set of 3 way Focal Utopias with matching Crossblock (excellent 3-way (semi) passive crossover) that I'm dying to give a good run. Only managed to run it as 2-way in the RS4 wand that was with a cheap crossover so really excited if I can fit these into the 6. Either way, I could walk into a decent car stereo shop and throw a few grand at them and probably get a beter sound but I guess the B&O is convenient and 'invisible'. Like I said before I might give the B&O a good work out and if I'm half impressed pick up one of the complete B&O kits on ebay for £2.5k.
I'm not impressed by the B&O in the RS3. Don't get me wrong, it's OK for what it costs but if the RS6 sounded the same I'd be annoyed.
Please bear in mind that thee B&O option are completely different between different models. The one in C7 is much better than the one in the RS3. The same goes to say about the one in the A8 (D4) which is better than the one in the C7.

Also, I wouldn't recommend buying the B&O and try to retrofit the kit. Firstly you need to dismantle the dash and buy a different upper part for the dash to house the tweeters. Also, I believe there are more speakers in the B&O compared to Bose.

You've got your Bs, Os and Ws in a pickle!

Headlining still shown as optional.

Retrofit must require some dash alterations?

Well spotted fella! B&W 803's, htm1, asw850 and scm1 surrounds.... I THINK! anyway all i know is they sound beautiful and I can't enjoy them due to the neighbours on one side - who i think spend their time in complete quiet and darkness. Anyway as I'm stuck here - sod it let's whack a big stereo in the 6.

+1 on his muddle with B&O & B&W (I'd take the B&W over B&O domestic speakers anyday).

And yes the alcantara roof lining is still a £2k option. I would have loved this but I don't think it's worth £2k.

I was going to look at the dash in mine when it came to see if it was a stright swap for the tweeters, but it sounds like you already know it's a dash mod / change job which would probably make it not worthwhile for me.

Agreed Mike - I reckon I've gone too far already. 2 grand for a alcantara cloth headlining is a bit mental. BTW did you take the seats as they come?

Got this in the garage at the moment:

That will help fill the boot of the RS6 up!

And then this beautiful set should sort the front doors out:

Yes I took the half alcantara with blue stiching. I swapped the interior trim for normal carbon though, I bottled it after originally speccing the blue stuff.

Awesome, mate I'm all into custom audio, I spent 7.5k on a system from SQPlus in Manchester (Phil) now at Manchester Car Audio I think? had jordan in the car magazine shoots etc etc. That Focal is a badboy, the impreza had 4 subs running 1.5kw, it was proper loud. Anyway I think I got scared off by the modern bus systems in these cars. The mod bus in my 911 scared me off, when you read the RS6 B&O spec it say that boot space will be limited, good - with what :-)

Starting to sound like a kid again! excellent!

Fair enough, my wife hated the blue carbon, i loved it. Having said that I'm thinking about getting the door panels in blue alcantara.....

It's a right euro mix; German car, French speakers & Swedish amps.
