When I ordered it I just imagined it to look awesome - and it has not disappointed! Some do not like the Nardo grey Colour - but I think its very different.

Will post more pics once I have my hands on it :biggrin3:

Didn't think to do red callipers actually - looks good. Maybe a job for later. Otherwise looks the same - Look forward to see some more pics...!

PS Mine should be here about now - but still on German side in a priority queue!
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

So looking forward to the traction and stability of the Quattro.
I actually did get attached to my M5 but went for the RS6 for exactly the same reasons, the M5, whilst fun, is only really usable on a warm sunny day.

Pu$$y's, you should learn how to drive :drink:

Just kidding, but although i totally get they're a bit more of a handful in the wet than say a Quattro RS, i've in 18mths with mine only had one 'moment' & do what most people do when conditions worsen, alter my driving style a little. Balls out in an RS6 in the wet is likely to have the same result as it would in an M5. Oddly enough i hated my E60 M5 & used the Corsa off the line example numerous times, but either my driving style has changed or the F10 really is significantly better for traction than it's V10 predecessor, but traction i really don't find to be an issue & having come from mainly AWD cars to date, i 'for now' prefer the different dynamic. I did however have to get the torque delivery re-tuned, as the extra beans were taking the car to a point of being difficult to drive dry or wet, but all's perfect now:)

Just to point out, i'm not for a moment saying it's better or worse just different & i don't experience serious loss of traction or drivability in the wet & have been out on track in mine on a wet day.

Probably worth qualifying my statement a little more. I'm really referring to straight line acceleration. In the RS6 I could more or less floor it in the wet when overtaking. This would be (for me) impossible with the M5 because the traction control would kick in almost immediately and, on one unforgettable occasion, right alongside a lorry! I test drove an M6 quite recently in damp conditions and it was exactly the same, poor traction under hard acceleration. It is just a feature of 2 wheel drive and lots of power :) As I've said before though... I loved the M5 and really only changed to an RS6 because the M5 cannot get up the hill where I live when it snows!

My post was tongue in cheek :bigblink: , but i really don't get any major issues with traction in mine, even with her surgery. Yes it's not quite got a stomp & go effect in the rain, but that for me this isn't an issue as isn't how i drive in the wet. I'm starting to think her alterations may have had a more positive effect on my car as either i'm now used to it or i've altered my driving style totally. The alterations have made a massive difference & she's more usable than she was stock, but i don't recall stock being that bad so perhaps it's my memory failing :bigblink:

Saying that though, perhaps i just needed change having had several AWD cars back to back B7 RS4, R35 GT-R & D4 A8.

10biscuits wrote:Captain, a beautiful looking car,I have sprint blue, same wheels and callipers, picked up in March. Had a B7 from 2006 ( new ) until Oct 2014,had to go ,done 128000 miles, but oh did it hurt, then a B8 until the C7 came along. It will be interesting to get your objective views on the B7 and the C7. Whoever designed the B7 was a genius,ok we are 8/9 years on,what's the difference, well I think mainly computers, the engine on the B7 was fantastic, the sound on the C7 is not the same, despite mine having the sports exhaust. Under heavy acceleration you get torque steer on the C7 ,be careful, and the handling is not in the same league.however for some strange reason I've got really attached to the car ( weird)hoping you do too, especially with an m5 as well,so let's have your thoughts.

This point re torque steer, I had blamed the Dunlops a lot for this and uneven roads. I have noticed it more in the C7 than the C6 I must say. Noticeable and somewhat off putting. Def Torque steer and not tyres?

Also noticed the torque steer under hard acceleration, could have been Tyres but didn't feel like it. I too had Dunlops. Caught me out once when overtaking in pretty reasonable conditions, fortunately I corrected for it in time. Not a big deal generally as long as you are aware of it.

Yes, noticed it and was surprised - especially when I accelerated hard as I pulled out to do an overtake - the car did not want to go where I wanted it to. I now treat it like a motorbike: save the hard acceleration for when the thing is pointing forwards.

Yes guys, posted a while back not long after I got my C7,pulled out to overtake under hard acceleration and v nearly lost it,scary, dry road. I too have Dunlops, can tyres really be the problem--anyone not on Dunlops who gets the same thing-like you I now pull out straighten up and then go,the car is so quick it really doesn't matter, but it can be very disconcerting cos it does it in a straight line as well-kinda fun though !!!

I've got continentals on mine and I've not had any torque steer issues. Just hit the gas and it takes off.The traction control light flickers sometimes but no scary moments.
