I can confirm that the problem has been visited by Eibach in Germany and that they will be doing what they can to ensure these are dealt with as a manufacturer should.

Replacements have been offered and the issue is now closed.

Cheers
Good News - strange it always seems to take a lot of jumping up and down to get action out of people now-a-days. I'd ensure that the additional bolts that you are using to secure the spacers or wheels are of a compatible material. The area of Alloy spacer relative to the contact area of the bolt heads is much greater so it shouldn't be that critical [Alloy anode- Steels cathode] but might have been a factor in the exfoliation/delamination corrosion that you experienced. Wiser to avoid stainless steel bolts and stick with good old carbon steel.

Well

Finally got mine lowered.....KW springs.

15mm all around running dynamic suspension.

Running spacers too.

Looks awesome to me, just right balance as I run with 4 people in car regular. No rubbing issues at all and the four whell alignment has transformed the car!!

Il even go as far to say as ride quality has improved....it's not all "crashy" and slightly "knocky" as it was OEM.

Deffo a must do mod for me personally.

Il get some pictures soon!

Nice one Chris. Like I said in the other thread, lowering and aligning my car transformed it completely, doesn't feel like a 2 ton barge as much now. I reckon some uprated anti roll bars and that chassis stiffener and it'll be a gem.

I was shocked about how rusty the hub was after less than 6 months thought. Even though I'd read about the state of the RS3 ones after a few weeks I thought maybe Audi had improved them but nope... Still shockingly rusty. I'll post a photo in a minute.

I don't understand why they allow it to rust like that (i.e not choose a different metal).

Looking great Chris. Just working out which springs to go for on mine. K&W or 40mm H&Rs. What hight did you adjust the K&Ws to? Looks more than 15mm drop there.

Andy I don't think the KWs go as low as the H&R 40mm springs so if yours sits level (which I think you said previously it does) then it comes down to how low you want to go.

Chris, is that still only 10mm spacers on the front and 12mm on the rear? I have some 12mm on the rear whilst I wait for some 15mm to arrive. I reckon the 12mm will fit on the front one I remove that arch liver screw at the top. And as you can see from the photo above there is room for another 3mm in that rear arch!

I asked for 10-15mm

Glen says its at 15mm... He said it may settle I little more.

You can of course adjust later if your not happy.

No brainer mod for me.

Think I'm going to go with the 40mm H&Rs. Mine sits level checked last night...

A local car just had k&ws fitted and they had to wind the drin to lowest setting to get about a 25mm drop. Funny how they vary a bit. This was a pre facelift car.

Might be some cheeky wheels to finish it off as well if I can make my mind up! :)
