Yes I thought you could have blue Carbon with any trim.
I was going to say I'd sell mine for the right price but actually I probably wouldn't. I suspect i am getting one of the first customer cars in the uk and can't wait.

Been having a look at PE's on mobile.de. A lot do have the regular 21'a and a few have red seat belts... Like this one

One of the reasons why I didn't chose Nogaro. It'll be worth the wait though.boff wrote:Love it.

Given my preferred spec to my dealer to come up with a PCP deal....voyage into the unknown for me as I have always bought cars outright before.
Because I was going to specify everything that the PE has as standard over a "normal" RS6 he tells me it is cheaper to go for a PE.

I also usually purchase rather than finance but went down the PCP route to see how it stacks up whilst I was (and still am to a degree) mulling over a PE. The PCP cost was a lot more than an outright purchase, multiple thousands. The dealer suggested that this was partially because I was "speccing up" the PE too much to make PCP work well.

I think I am going to come to the same conclusion....spec I was looking at has about £6k of options over and above the base BE price, although they think they have a spec changeable car that could be delivered before end of March which might mean they are keen to do a deal for quarter end.

Yeah that would have been me, 20's are definitely ET21 offset.MikeFish wrote:I seem to recall when someone was selling their 20s on here they said they were ET21 because I recall trying to workout if they'd fit my B7.

Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
Got my PCP quote back. I don't really see why people find them so attractive apart from the "you don't ever have to pay for the car" if you keep rolling rather than paying the balloon at the end. Very simply that £7000 deposit contribution gets eaten up in interest over a typical 3yr PCP deal. So that "deposit contribution" is really Audi giving you a discount to pay for the typical interest that will make back over a three year period.Cheib wrote:DragonRR wrote:I also usually purchase rather than finance but went down the PCP route to see how it stacks up whilst I was (and still am to a degree) mulling over a PE. I am going to back to old school car purchasing...buy it outright. With some straight finance I can pay back immediately to get the £7k.
Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
This is true. If you are going to use a PCP then you need to use a lower options spec. The options are devalued much faster as they do not noticably contribute to the second hand value at the end of the lease. If you take an 80k car and assume for ease it is devalued by 50% over three years then you are financing 40k - deposit.DragonRR wrote:The dealer suggested that this was partially because I was "speccing up" the PE too much to make PCP work well.
The options are only over the lease so if you add 20k of options (not difficult) then this is lost over 36 months not 8-10 years of the car so has a much higher monthly cost than 20k in the base car price. This is why I moved from a wonderful RS6 to a very wonderful RS6PE as the three main things I wanted were in the base price and so "cheaper" over the lease period.
PCP and personal lease/operating lease (like a rental) always work like this. For £10-15 a month on a PCP I get the 605bhp etc rather than just a couple of the extras.
Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
But unless i'm mistaken, you can take out the PCP thus taking advantage of the dealer £7k & then pay it off within the 1st few days with no interest paid & the £7k saved. May be a little bit of penalty interest as i'm sure VWFS calculate interest daily so that may be a £50-£100 but you're still quids in & have effectively bought the car cash whilst still getting the dealer finance contribution.Bit_evl wrote:This is true. I normally buy outright, why pay interest if you don't need to, unless you do this

We don't need to get in to a discussion of cash vs. finance. But, there is saying that it is never a wise thing to put your money in to a depreciating asset.

Re: Performance Edition at Audi City (pic content for MikeFi
Indeed. But the lease deals on RS6's are not great...you can get an S8 for roughly half the price. But you can also buy a six month old S8 with a couple of thousand miles on it for £55k. There were some stonking S8 deals around a few weeks ago though.Heden wrote:We don't need to get in to a discussion of cash vs. finance.
