Shell V-Power racing 100

Post by Tadass910 » Sat Nov 11, 2023 8:23 am

Hello,

In my country where I live now I have in my shell petrol station only 95 or V-Power 100 octane, I don’t have a solution add 98, I do t want to use 95 as it’s very low in octane, but also afraid of using 100 octane, can I not damage any cars components like for example fuel pump by filling 100 octane?

Thanks

I have run my car on Tesco Momentum 99 for 60,000 miles so far without a problem; that's one less RON rating than your Shell product and 2 higher than the Audi-suggested 97 RON. I am no expert but I am unaware of there being a problem with fuel that has a higher octane rating than the minimum required.
