Hi everyone
New owner here. Picked up a 2016 Performance in Mythios Black couple of weeks ago. Its standard at the mo, but hoping to maybe mod a bit.
I bought some black Audi rings from the dealer to fit but it seems the front requires grill removal and looking at some online videos that means front bumper removal too!
I have a Carbon 'quattro' surround to fit as well so looks like its playtime.
My question is ...anyone attempted it and any tips tricks hacks for not ballsing it up?
Cheers

Grill /Bumper Removal
Re: Grill /Bumper Removal
You don't need to remove the bumper or grill to change the rings, but if you want to change the grille too then yes it's a bumper off job. I'm sure there are guides online and will be very similar to an A6 bumper removal. Not difficult but a little time consuming; gets quicker the more you do it. I didn't bother with the front one on my RS6, I took it to a garage to do it, but I did the rear a couple of times and did the front on my RS4 which was a similar method.

Thanks Mike
How do you change the rings without the grill off? Its a 66 plate and has a solid plastic bit behind the rings therefore cant get fingers in to release the clips.

Re: Grill /Bumper Removal
Poke a plastic trim removal tool or silimar to release the clips. You can see the location of the clips on the new badge you are trying to fit. Some people break a few tabs removing the okd badge but this isn't a problem unless you intend to use the old rings again. If you do then just take your time and poke them all using a tool rather than just lifting a corner then pulling with all your might.
