Dynamic pack or not???
Dynamic pack or not???
Hi all New to the forum so please bear with me.
Looking for some help im just about to buy a RS6 C7 in Nardo Grey. it doesn't have a dynamic pack should I be put off by this? a friend of mine says not to buy one without? im not going to be tracking the car so does it really matter?
its only options are
Nardo Grey
Pan roof
red callipers
smart phone interface
Carbon interior
Black pack
it is a performance with the better wheels
What are your opinions?
Is anyone else selling their Nardo grey RS6 in the UK

Re: Dynamic pack or not???
Hi Tuf911s and welcome....
I wouldn't be put off by this, you just need to drive both and see which you prefer. The DRC has a slightly harder ride. Some prefer DRC others Air... personal choice....
I drove two of each before buying mine and felt DRC was more connected with the road and preferred the harder ride... but like I say each to their own... DRC is very hard and bumpy when in Dynamic mode but in Auto it feels spot on IMHO!!...
Keep us posted....
Cheers,
Lig.

Re: Dynamic pack or not???
Hi Lig,
Thank you for your quick response. can you explain the difference between the DRC and Air I thought both were air suspension? the only difference being is one is adjustable and the other wasn't?
Many thanks.

Re: Dynamic pack or not???
Dynamic Pack for me was imperative but, as above, it's personal choice really. With DRC and springs you can't have the tow bar option though...

Re: Dynamic pack or not???
I dont know the full technical differences, I 'think' air doesn't have any springs as the air acts as a spring?? Heres the blurb from Audi...
AIR - RS-specific Adaptive air suspension – electronically controlled air suspension with variable adaptive damping system
on all four wheels, with RS-speci c tuning. This automatically controls the vehicle level and damping, with four modes: Comfort, Dynamic, Auto and Lift, which can all be selected via the MMI system.
DRC - RS Sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC)
Enhanced suspension set-up which consists of a special shock absorber system that counteracts pitch and body roll movement without using any electronic devices. With DRC, diagonally opposed shock absorbers on the car are linked together hydraulically.
A central valve varies the shock absorber operating characteristic, for example when the steering wheel is turned and the car is cornering, so that movement around the longitudinal axis (roll) is significantly reduced. DRC uses the same principle to counteract body movement around the transverse axis (pitch) when the car is accelerated or braked. There is a choice of three settings: Comfort, Dynamic or Auto.
You also get Dynamic Steering with the Dynamic pack.. again some prefer it, some don't....
Dynamic steering
Improves comfort and handling by dynamically regulating steering according to the driving situation. Allows steering feel to be adapted to road speed and the chosen Audi Drive Select mode. With this technology, driving is more agile under everyday conditions, while directional stability and precision are increased at high speeds and in demanding driving situations. Also enhances active safety with corrective steering inputs if critical situations are detected
Have you bought a car? I see in another post you are asking about sports exhausts, saying yours doesnt have one???
Cheers,
Lig.

Re: Dynamic pack or not???
I found air had too much body roll even in Dynamic.
DRC is firmer but still too much body roll if you ask me. I wouldn't buy a car with air for that reason.
Need to know your spec and price. One man's good spec is another man's poverty spec.

DRC is a must after driving a car on air, DRC much more sporty than the bread bin feel of Air..each to there own thoughMikeFish wrote:I found air had too much body roll even in Dynamic.

So a 67 plate - Depending on Colour (but that doesn't really matter if you like it), private sale, but should have remainder of 3 yr warranty?? I would say ball park £55K - £58K for PE ....
But I am no car dealer....
