MMI faults, Antenna issues plus more
MMI faults, Antenna issues plus more
To cut a long story short I have had issues with the car I purchased since the first day I have had it (Dec 18),its been in the garage over a month now, its had the full MMI replaced and came back worse no sat nav and break camera warning lights so I refused it, they have done updates and its pointed to the Antenna low and behold its no 5 to be replaced with the 1st at only 1000 miles, the radio is not working and drops out and Audi have said its common that the Black windows can effect reception! so I have sent a letter to the garage that I want to reject the car as its been faulty since day 1 and I have all the evidence to prove this but they still seem happy to get me into the car but if I'm honest I've had it with them as I'm paying for it to sit in the garage and constantly getting fobbed off!
The car is a 64 plate and bought off a performance garage in Yorkshire and I'm dealing with my local Audi so stuck in the middle of two garages passing the buck what can I expect if I return the car as it was noted on day 1 so should it be 100% as there is a long list of email's video's etc and I have only done 3000 mile

Hi Daz,
That all sounds terrible!
Did you get extended warranty with the car OR is this all costing you? Can you name the 'Yorkshire Performance Garage' (GC, or Redline)????
How many miles has the car covered? Has it been modded at all, or is it standard?
It might be worth speaking with trading standards if you are shelling out with no results, I am sure they will be able to give advice. It seems odd that Audi cannot find the issue, and bad that they are fobbing you off, maybe also speak to Audi head office customer services.
Sorry I cant give you any real help??!!
I hope you get a result one way or another....

The car has done 54000 miles I have done 3000 in 7 months, the car has historic history of MMI problems, but what has got my back up is the sales director lying through his teeth about certain stuff I have found him out and sent an email and have all proof to take to court! I hate bullshitters in life he has dropped a right bollock! he claims he has paid X amount to fix the car to date LOL the main dealer told me the costs to date!! if he had been straight I wouldn't be in this position

And did you pay for the car in any part on a credit card?
Re: MMI faults, Antenna issues plus more
The car is on a PCP and I have not paid a penny for any repair Audi v Dealer but as you open the car up its a can of worms, The dealer had the opportunity to be straight and acknowledge the car was faulty but they denied it and as per Audi's word work has been botched! so has Audi done it or dealer either way my car is in Garage for the 5th week its a joke!

SSC? GC Motors? Motorhub?
Re: MMI faults, Antenna issues plus more
I cant say which garage it is at the moment, but when you look at some reviews online they are at it!! will see how the next few days pan out.

Sadly I think the law only gives you right to reject (after at least one attempt at rectification) within a 6 month window. But I am no lawyer.
Sorry to hear what you are going through. While cars can throw up all sorts of problems - none of which may be a dealer's fault - I too hate it when people aren't straight.

Yes it is true that I will struggle to reject the car as I have found out the last repair was carried out by Audi without the dealer having knowledge so basically the onus is on Audi to rectify the car so it will have had a new MMI system, Antenna and something to do with the receiver just hope it all works as the car is great but its awful to drive with all the electrical issues and constant glitching!!

Morning Daz,
Ah so that could be good news then as there is a chance it will all be sorted?!
When do you get the car back? Do keep us updated.
Fingers crossed for you.
