That does look so much better than the one in the advert. I'd say that was lowered and spaced and obviously with the PE wheels. Simple mods that can make the white look great!! That and black badges.

Interesting you say it’s lowered, others have said so too and I had my doubts - but it isn’t. I asked a main dealer to check and confirm and they confirmed not lowered.

But I do still wonder from time to time!

Hi Shagga,

How was the RS4? Did it help you decide between the two? Any update on the Fountain car??

Cheers
Lig..

We didn't sell the white one although I did pull it from our ads for a while as it was stuck at Amersham Audi with the headliner out waiting for a new sunroof cassette under warranty.

Tyres are fairly recent, Pirellis all on about 5.5mm and the front discs/pads are brand spanking; rears still have plenty on them.

Nothing wrong with it and no story behind it, just over-age now so at a reduced price. It happens sometimes.

I wouldn't expect a dealer to be able to spot a lowered one or not to be fair. Is it on air or DRC? If DRC it is definitely lowered but air cars sit a bit lower than sprung cars. But I think it looks a bit low even for an air car.

Hi mate, how are you? What are you driving now?
This has sold now but looking around for the perfect RS6. In no rush as my lease isn't up until November 5th.

Thanks guys.

Hi guys,
I can't believe the thing has come down another £1k? Surely a drop of £7k in 6 months can't just be down to colour?
Quite tempted to go for this if it drives well and in good condition and then wrap it. I must add I have a test drive in a new RS4 on Wednesday for comparison.

Also for the record, I am useless at making decisions.
Hope you're well Shane - I bought your S3 off you in 2003!

I actually like them in white, but if you're looking to wrap it then Herts Tints in St Albans is a good place. The owner also has a white RS6!

Good luck!
Shane

Hey Shane,

All good thanks :)

Now driving an R8 V10 Spyder so a little different to the S3! But I've had quite a few cars since that one, including a couple of TTs, 5, RS4, 997 C4S, F-Type...

Good luck finding a car!

Good work,
Was looking at a V10 but need something to throw my golf clubs and mountain bike in. I also do all the weekend driving so again no good with three of us.

Cheers

First off - I agree it looks low.

I wouldn't expect a dealer to be able to spot a lowered one or not to be fair.
Out of interest (I’m not being argumentative), why wouldn’t a dealer not be able to spot a lowered car?

(Aside from general incompetence).
Is it on air or DRC?
DRC
I think it looks a bit low even for an air car.
Like I say, I agree - the only thing I can think of - if it is not lowered - is that that the suspension is somehow sensitive to small inclines. In the picture the car is on a very small incline that might be ‘squashing’ the rear wheels. Dunno that theory could be BS!

My other posts reveal that I like to keep my cars very much stock. Where might I be able to go to get the question of whether it is lowered bottomed out? (No pun!)

Hi guys,
No I didn't buy it as I'm holding out for a PE. I'm spending a lot of money so no compromises for me. Having driven the Fontain one though I decided 100% I want HUD. Really want heated rear seats to stop my stroppy son moaning on winter mornings. Still torn between Nardo, Panther and Daytona as they all look great particularly with subtle mods,

Yes I did test drive the RS4 and it was really nice. Quick and felt surprisingly small and agile and I do like the more modern interior BUT it isn't a 6. For me it doesn't have any real presence on the road and I really don't like any of the new wheels. Still trying to find a 6 somewhere near me as I haven't had the chance to open one up a little or drive a PE to gauge the difference.
Also seeing a few 2018 models slipping into my budget :jump_clap: BUT are there any facelift type differences I should look out for? Warranty would obviously be nice to have a year or so left to run.

Again, if anyone is anywhere near Uxbridge/Watford who wants to take me for a spin and a tour of the 'must have's' I'd really appreciate that.

Thanks all.
Shane

How's you search going out of curiosity? Do you think a lot more are going to come on the market now the C8 details have been released for those lucky enough to upgrade?
