About the right time to sell up..

Post by Knobby » Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:24 am

After 20 months of ownership I think it’s about the right time to sell.

Cars done nearly 40k, it’s made more money today (5k extra) and it did back in May so prices are high.

Was a little concerned with being in the car when it’s done over 40k and with the new one coming out next year.

Depreciation has been the biggest cost. Fuel has been more than affordable. Tyres and servicing again not bad. Buckled wheels and warped disks are an issue and expensive to fix!

Got a few bits left over - msg me.
H&R spacers - front and rear
Cete Active Exhaust Valve Control.

I will 100% be back and hopefully next year,
for now I have another VAG project on its way.

Damn I’ll miss that noise!

Same as the Milltek one. Lets you control the valves independently.

I’m in a pretty similar position as you & agree/concur with what you say. I was originally contemplating selling in the spring but didn’t want to put my pride & joy through another hard winter as my current daily & who knows what state the country will be in come Brexit in March next year. Instead I’m swapping to a dull daily for family duties & the work commute & as long as my RS6 sells then I’ll be having a garage queen for high & dry days. I’ve got an irrational Aston Martin itch that needs scratching ... I think I’ll soon be missing Audi build quality but I’m looking forward to a better customer service experience.

I’m interested to see how the C8 RS6 is going to turn out. I’m underwhelmed by the S-Line C8 despite the tech advance. Having owned previous RS6 models I’m desperate to like the C8 to continue my run but so far it ain’t happening for me.

Best of luck with your journey!!

Rich.

I don't know where to go next from an RS6... I've kept it VAG and very different until I decide what silly car I want next.

PS. Spacers and value gone..

I am struggling with that too, i.e, where to next after RS6. I think Audi need to bring out an RS8.....something sexy.... Quite admire what BMW have done bringing out the M8, not that l am a 'fanboy'.... :piss:
RS6 C7 PE - current
S6 C7 Avant - too hesitant, not enough power
A6 C7, 2.0 TDI......aghhhhh
A3 , 2.0 BE, tdi, yeahhh...
