I'm not being funny here ... But .. Wtf buys a RS for mpg anyway :-/ I get about 11mpg from mine I'm sure I've been on 4 cylinders once though

Not worried about mpg - just the inconvienence of having to refill. Larger tanks would be much better

Nobody. But, unless you can afford to own three or more cars, the RS6 is doing a variety of jobs because that is what is was designed for. Mine is furniture mover, tip-run dumpster, trailer tower, motorway cruiser and shopping runabout.

If the OP wants to be able to do a trip without fueling, why not let him ask the question and have it answered without all this dick-swinging "I never see more than 2mpg from mine"? We can all - and do all, I am sure, have the odd journey that has worked out at 10-12mpg, and they are fun, but, if every one of your journeys ends up like that, it is you who has bought the wrong car, not me or the OP, or all the others who have got 30mpg on a trip. You should have bought a 911 or a Lamborghini.

Your barking up the wrong tree, I've had all the cars you're saying I should have bought . The fact is the rs6 isn't great on miles it's 4ltr V8 so getting 350miles on my drive style isn't happening or would I care if I have to pull over for 3m pit stop,I've not dick swung at all . It's you infact that's come out all tetchy driving you bus around at 28mpg and telling me I've bought the wrong car . You stick to missionary position with your mrs and 28mpg you old fart . I am not sure you have addressed the point of my post at all; instead, you have managed to squeeze out a classic insult-packed response, typical of someone whose fastest and most accomplished driving always takes place in the retelling over a pint ("Yeah, mate, I've never seen more than 11mpg. Not sure why it feels like it’s gone abit hostile in here, it’s a discussion on fuel range and totally sensible conversion to have.
Beauty of these cars is that it can fit into a few different criteria’s, motorway cruiser, weekend hoon and the rest in between.
The tank IMO is big enough, and stopping to re-fuel isn’t a massive issue in my eyes but it’s all down to perspective

I get my 375 miles to a tank on my long drives and then also went through about 140 litres on sunday doing about 350 miles of country road driving and won’t be surprised by single figure MPG readings.

My apologies to you, it was not my intention to belittle your post in any way or was I "dick swinging" it's not my intention. I was simply stating for me, mpg isn't something I could ever achieve or apply to the 6, and yes I'm heavy footed with my cars so I pay the price . So to address the OP - I'd be getting about 200 on a full tank at best. My driving is all local and motorway miles is low,I also like dynamic driving and use the paddles which makes it even worse

I know 2 Shell petrol stations near me and that’s it! Otherwise just got to get lucky and fill up somewhere with 98 Ron fuel in Brussels and along my driving around mainland Europe

Really easy. Did Newcastle to Warrington and back yesterday and still have 100 miles range in the tank, albeit the tank was brimmed before I left -10 miles between station and home. So that’s over 170 miles each way and before people say I was crawling all the way, did it in less than 2.5 hours each way. 30.7 mpg average.

Also got from Festival of Speed to Newcastle on one tank! 345 miles, 5 hours including 30 mins sat on the M25, 80 mile range left in tank

Pretty sure the RS7 tank is the same size as the ‘6, also running APR stage 1

Its short journeys and stop start that, as ever, is the killer.
Assuming 70 litre tank (excluding reserve) and doing the maths, GSC, on your FOS trip, if indeed you could have done another 80 miles, you got just over 27mpg (6miles/L) and Wildbore, above, when you are managing 350 miles on a tank, you are getting just under 23mpg (5miles/L).

Just reading what the trip computer says as mpg, didn’t look at it for the FOS trip but when I’m sitting at the average speed I’m at, even if it were 27mpg that’s pretty decent along with the numerous rapid accelerations after getting past slower traffic.

Lucky if I'm getting 200 out of a tank.

On my airport motorway trip I get 400+ miles from a tank. Cruise set to 76mph.

Tyre pressures have a big influence. I over inflate slightly.

If I am driving around town a tank gets 200 miles.

A mix gives (unsurprisingly) 300-ish.
