How does the car come up with this on after 20k miles?

Had an oil change and service last Aug, so it all seems a bit odd!

Is your brake fluid due to be changed?

I am guessing you had combined inspection and oil change last year. Oil change now due 10k ish later and another plus inspection due in another 10k.
Oil changes are every 10k, inspections every 20k or so (max 2 years).

I think his concern is the inspection due in 28 days. Most likely brake fluid, spark plugs or similar as it doesn't look like an oil change is due. Not sure how they tell the car it has been carried out though, didn't think it was that intelligent for service reminder resets but seem to recall brake fluid change being the cause of this before.

Doh! My bad. Missed that. I bet you are right.

Inspection Service is normally (I believe) every two years or so many miles. There's not a lot involved in it and wasn't that pricey on the RS4, It's mainly to get the stamp in the book to say Audi have given it the once over.

The thing that confuses me the most is that in Aug 17 at 12k miles (so only 8k and 7 months ago) I had an oil change, inspection and major service.

How can the inductors get so out of whack in that time? The mileage and time measures are the opposite way round on each indicator...

Looks like they forgot to reset the inspection service indicator.
