Insurance recommendations

Post by jds67 » Tue Feb 27, 2018 7:29 pm

Hello everyone, well I have just purchased an RS6 performance. I pick it up tomorrow evening. Question is who are you guy's using for insurance and what premiums are you paying?
Thanks in advance.

+1 NFU
Never competitive previously but last year suddenly jumped to best price and same with the renewal - i couldnt find cheaper which is refreshing. I believe this is also claimed to be one of the best policies so i would also pay a little more for it if it came to it.

I just moved from Direct Line to Privilege and saved a fair bit. S8 though not an RS6.
They are the same company though........... :bigblink:
To the extent that when I rang Privilege the other day they asked which car - the other one is still with DL - until renewal in April.... :boots:

NFU FTW

£400 no tracker (46)

I have never claimed but apparently when you do there is no BS.

I can only speak about their customer service when adding / removing cars which I do monthly and it is first class (and they are cheap).
Current Audis: Audi RS6 PE, Audi RS3 Sportback
Ex-Audis: RS4 B8, RS6 C6, A6 2.7Q, A4 2.8Q

NFU +2

As well as for my 2 car policy them being the cheapest when i switched, the 1st annual renewal came in last week & it went down slightly. On top of this & as noted above, extremely simple to make changes to the policy with no Admin charges, they'll virtually match a full NCD on a second car, even though it's not a multi car policy, plus you get 2yrs new for old which pretty much removes the need for GAP insurance.

Wow, sounds like a great idea. Have they called it something crazy like No Claims Discount? If only other insurers did it too.

I went with aplan (underwritten by zenith) last year, with renewal this year the same price. It was 745 for 36 year old and wife with full NCB. Haven’t found anything close this year, but going to give NFU a try tomorrow.

you missed the 'renew' in my post ...
they call it a Mutual Bonus - a loyalty discount on top of your no claims (for me 13.5% plus max no claims, increases each year) hence why with me the renewal was the cheapest i could find by some margin which is very unusual - if only other insurers did it too ...
