I see they are screwed to the bumper and have no connection to the exhaust but i wondered if there was enough clearance to manoeuvre them out without taking the bumper off which is a DIY PITA

Black Exhaust Tips...
Re: Black Exhaust Tips...
I believe it's "acidic" water caused by condensation escaping on initial drive after daily use?Scotty C wrote:Going in for new black exhaust tips Monday...
Expressed my disappointment to the dealer that there appeared to be corrosion amounting to the edge of the exhaust tips, like others here had experienced. It was booked in and surprisingly they just tried to 'rub' it off. However they thought the tips were chrome/silver and therefore scratched the black plating clean off one of them.
They admitted their error and apologised saying they would replace the damaged tip. I thanked them for their honesty but said i expected both replaced as could not accept them looking different to one another.
They reluctantly agreed although I never did get a definitive answer from them as to why the 'corrosion' appeared in the first place...
Hopefully these will last a little longer.

It looks like they have changed the design - gone are the black ceramic coated tips to be replaced by a shiny black painted one. Obviously they decided that it wasn't working, but preferred the old design...
