Not sure about HUD, but on the DIS it's not quite shift lights, it's a bar that changes colour as you approach and hit the red line. Nits urge everyone here is talking about the same thing. To get this shift bar you need to be on the lap timer screen and have the gear stick pushed to the left to the proper Manual setting and not just in Drive or Sport and manually changing with paddles or feat lever. Must have gear stick pushed to the left. Then floor it and see gear shift bar changing colour.

I may check out Vagcom as mine doesn't come up in every driving scenario, it may be an Australian Delivery car code problem.

You are wrong, they showed in both in hud as well in dash, you need to be in manual mode and use shift paddles
