Only driven it 10 mile home. One really annoying thing😫😫 They did all the wheel alignment geometry but the steering wheel isn't straight ffs. Me thinks a quick visit tomorrow👍

After the amount of time they've had it, I thought they'd have made 100% sure everything was correct with it and even thrown a hooker in the back ready for you. Do you know how many miles THEY have put on it since the re-build? If you have a tracker on it, i'd check what test drive they did.
Glad you've got it back though.

Good point, that is half the fun, the other half is using your avant to find a good disposal location.

Popped back today. They have done 40miles since the new engine. As for the steering they suggested wait a few hundred miles until everything has settled back down then come back and have it re done👍.

This may be a daft question? But do Audi run each engine once it's fitted or pre fit on dyno, as I've been advised to just take it easy for a few hundred miles as it's a total new engine ???

I wasn't sure how to broach the subject of the free hooker in the back 😂😂😂

I genuinely want the steering issue to be sorted for you especially after the bad luck you've had, but I predict this to be the hardest thing for them to sort even after the alignment has been done.

I hope it's just a simple re allignment. It just annoying as it's right infrint of you all the time. Straight road and steering wheel over to the right. Not unsafe just annoying

I have no faith in Audi techs,

Friends RS5 that he owned from new with less than 10k miles on it had occasional misfire that they have never managed to trace, went pop a couple of months ago. Was starting to look like it was going to be a battle to get fixed as it was out of warranty (by a single day) but finally they agreed to a whole new engine, which then took weeks to sort.

He collected it the other day - made it 5 miles before the EPC light came on !!!!
They told him to drive it home, they came and collected it and drove it the 40miles back to the delaership to confirm that this new engine has an as yet undiagnosed misfire !!!
