There is an ex-owner on here who had people first scout his home looking at his car (he clocked them and scared them off) and then one day they surprise him at his work place with a gun to the back of his head and take car. It appears they had put a tracking device on the car hence turning up where he worked.daveok77 wrote:I think it all comes down to personal preference and the fact that some people care more about keeping their own cars than others.rtd wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 12:49 pmBut your still looking at an insurance claim for the forced entry into car may as well just let them take it and be done with it.Sarac wrote:Best thing to do is to put some very small switch conected to relays which will cut power to fuel pump. And you can find very very good hidden places in car for this.
So when ever you park your car, you switch off and you are safe 100% that nobody cant drive away with your car. Only possible solution is to drive it on tow truck.
I have it installed on my 2 cars and it is working flawlessly for years.
All this extra security on the car itself is pointless - unless it has been highly modified where you can't recover all your investment back from the insurance company.
Beefing up security around the house is good but on the car itself can't see the point.

It's not like it's some appreciating classic - anyway I used to think this I don't anymore and I feel much more liberated as a result of it.
