RS6 closed order books (or about to close)

I have been told today that no new RS6 orders are being taken at the factory. Cars in the system already are still available in now limited numbers.

Not sure of the validity of the source, but the timing seems about right.

Anybody heard anything similar ?

It's 1000s. Residuals will be nothing like the C6.

I'd say that very roughly (back of a fag packet job) the following is what was registered, including all body styles, Performance and Edition models:

B5 RS4 = 500
B7 RS4 = 3000
B8 RS4 = 1900

B8 RS5 = 1500

C5 RS6 = 1000
C6 RS6 = 500
C7 RS6 = 2500

C7 RS7 = 400

C7's could rise further as there will still be cars un-registered needing taxing. So potentially Audi's 2nd most popular RS product ever produced. Still think the B7 RS4 will be #1.

The actual figure is total 2384 of which 1835 are standard and the balance 549 is PE ones
