Contact sport 6 seems to be a very good tyre from reviews, some even say better than the michelin. But not going to be made in 285/30/21. You can get it in 295/30/21 if anyone wants to try it. I would but it would rub with my spacers.

Can be difficult to compare tyre prices form one purchase date to the next as they go up and down depending what oil prices have done earlier, having said that I'm also a fan of BlackCircles.com

New tyres are always quieter thanks to block depth. My worry is the Michelibs will get very noisy as they wear- they have on my wife's 997 which runs 305s at the back. Great wear and performance otherwise though.

I'm 13k into the set and I'm still finding them quieter than the Contis.

That's very interesting. I have just swapped my summer Conti to Michelin. Still early days, but Michelin is a lot noisier so far at low speed

I have never found tyre noise an issue with any car or any tyre. Do you guys drive around with the stereo off?

I swapped to MPSS about 2000 miles prior to sale and they were much better overall. Grip felt better with more feedback through the steering as you leant on them. They were much better at dealing with bumps mid-bend on the narrow roads around me. Breaking felt better on dry roads as well.

I did notice a little more noise as well but that could have been due to the fact they were put back on almost round wheels and so I was able to go above 50mph once again without being vibrated to death. They don't have the noise silencing foam in them that the OEM tyres had.

Be careful what P-Zeros you are specifying, the older non-NCS and non-R01 P-Zeros are a different rubber compound to the newer ones and are nowhere near as capable. My PE came with the newer R01 P-Zeros on and after previous experience with the older compound Pirelli's I was expecting these to be pretty Poo!! However, so far I have not been wanting for wet or dry grip and currently at 8.5K of spirited driving, they have loads of life left (which is very surprising for the weight of the car, torque produced and how I'm driving it!!).
As there isnt too much difference in price between the R01 NCS P-Zeros and the Michelin PSS, I will probably try the PSS when it comes time to change but I would definitely use the P-Zero again!

£257 on Camskill
£264 on Oponeo

For MPSS

Car in today for brake pads and software update and Audi just quoted me £389! for one MPSS as i have a nail in it which they already said looks repairable. Definitely not paying that!

This is my experience of the pricing order on most tyres.
Costco will do a price match on MPSS if you give them a poke.
