RS6 MY16+ VIM - HELP!

Post by TRS6 » Sat Apr 29, 2017 6:05 am

Hi Guys,

Searched the interweb for many countless hours in hope of finding the process to unlock VIM in my 2016 PE RS6 to no success.

I even left the car with local Audi dealer who couldn't for the life of him figure it out.

Anyone successfully achieved this and if so can share the process?

Thanks & Appreciated.

The Kufatech Dongle worked on my MY16 and I assume the the dongle just sends coding to the car like VCDS does??

For reference the VIM dongle I purchased was the Discover Pro, Columbus version. I posted the Kufatech Germany link below but for members in Australia I just purchased the dongle from Autofidelity.

Maybe buy the OBDeleven scan tool (bluetooth OBD plug + app, sadely android only).
Only costs 60€ for pro version, but very handy. Beside the normal error scanning and deleting (always handy to monthly do a scan yourself before you go to dealer), but it has a few build-in 'one touch' apps including the VIM for pre-facelift and facelift models ;).

Thanks but the first link is for pre-facelift only.

Can you post the linke from the other forum you mentioned?

I have reached out to Autofidelity to see if they offer the dongle solution you've mentioned.

Fingers crossed.

I have OBDeleven with the coding but don't think it works for post FL models as mentioned in that forum.

If you Google "jasonlitka", the OP, you should find it. On my phone at the moment so not easiest to Google right now..... And supposed to be working!
