You're only committed once build is locked, which it won't be for months yet.

I waited 12 months.....

I should be just be patient. Little disappointed as I was expected a mid December delivery.

I think you were lucky in timing with that. I had Dec build, car arrived in March. Previous deliveries have been in the 6-8 week bracket, I'd say that was the norm.

For now you can have cake and eat it. If C8 is announced I suspect you'll feel differently.

Very true. I was told the C8 RS6 wouldn't be until mid 2018 or is that false?

2018 would be a reasonable punt, but equally it could be later, I suspect that the plan has yet to be set in stone.

To tell you the truth, looking at audi's latest design of their new cars I would not worry too much about the c8 rs6. They seem to be going backwards towards the old square design for most of them. Case in point the q7 very nice inside but ugly outside.
Of course everyone is different in their taste.

Not to mention the Q2. WTF is that about? And the new gopping family grill appearing on everything. Yuk.

I always thought they had three basic designs and a photocopier with an enlarge/shrink function. They appear to have a couple of new ones now with the SUVC wedge. As you say they are going back to the older more block design again. Perhaps someone left the old diagram in the photocopier when they were in a hurry and no one noticed !

all pointers are to the next gen looking pretty close to the Prologue concept on the outside and then very akin to the Porsche Panamera on the inside with lots of touch screen panels - for a preview of the C8, here is the test mule A7 - I'd wager the front at least will be fairly identical between A6 and A7:

think the standard models are due next year, so RS version 2018/2019 potentially....
