I'm having my RS4 done at the moment. Crystal Serum ceramic coating, followed by PPF and then a second coating of Crystal Serum on top of the film - adds gloss and protection to the film so hopefully won't yellow as much.

Not sure the brand of film being applied but I'll update this when I find out.

Standard Kit - £499.00 (Front Bumper, Headlights, Spotlights (incl. DRL's), Partial Bonnet, Partial Wings, Wing Mirrors)
Full Bonnet Upgrade - +£100.00
Full Wings Upgrade - +£160.00

Plus I'm now having the full side sill kit as there are spacers and H&R springs in the future.

Completely agree with other posters. The ceramic coatings do little if anything to protect against scratches. I have Suntek and Xpel on my Porsche. The Suntek looks marginally better but seems to have no self healing qualities. It has done the job of protecting my paintwork though. The Xpel seems to be denser stuff. Neither appear to have discoloured. My partner's F-Type had some factory film on the wheel arches which went yellow and looked terrible. Had it replaced with Xpel and it looks spot on, no sign of discolouring so far on a white car.

I'd urge you not to do this. PPF shouldnt be applied to paint that's got any form of coating on it. In fact, gtechniq specifically recommend *against* applying ppf on top of their coatings.
In my opinion, I'd get the car detailed and have CS / EXO applied to the whole car except where ppf is going. Then add the ppf, then EXO over the top of the ppf. It's not recommended (again, generally advised against) applying CS on top of a ppf.

Dan is having his done the same place as mine was done. Other than a slight bit of peel on plastic (which probably wasnt coated with exo) which was quickly replaced I have had no issues.
Dan, I assume like mine it will be suntek on wings and bonnet and 3M on front bumper.

Good news Mike. I'm just super cautious as I haven't been working with gtechniq products that long and so follow their guidelines to the letter! Pleased it's working out all good :)

Totally agee with Ross on this - I have had the gtech ceramic coating applied to both my cars and was advised that if I went down PPF route the coating would need to wet sanded off first .

Yep, getting it off if you don't want it, or it goes tits up is a complete arse ache.

Paint should be corrected then protected with wax/sealant or film.

Has anyone noticed this thread is titled PFF, not PPF? :biggrin3:

Self healing everywhere apart from beefier 3M on the bumper that takes the hardest stone impacts?

Yes Ian. 3M is better suited to the more complicated areas like the bumper. Apparently it is self healing but not as good as the suntek. The suntek was used on the bigger flatter areas as it gives a better shine.
