My RS6 search is over

Is that the first S model to come with an RS exhaust? Or does it mean the flat ovals like the current A6 has?

It has 4 squarish pipes, 2x2.

Standard spec includes everything I need. So for me it's just the wheel upgrade, black styling pack and paint selection.

Having said that though my dealer did tell me about an optional 'sports pack' which will be available as an option. The pack is made up of electromechanical active roll stabilisation, Sports differential, and the all-wheel steering. So my 'need' and my 'want' might be having a fight!

I am normally light on options; but on the standard car I can get to £10k easily
Pano Roof, better stereo and one or two of the safety packs and you are at £5k already

The sports pack you mentioned was on the media cars and feedback was very good - I dread to think what it costs though !

I hear you, the Q7 options list has been a major criticism by the magazine and journos.

I personally refuse to buy into Audi's 'pack' scam, just to get a single option I want e.g. having to buy a £2k+ pack just to get Adaptive Cruise control, which was free on the other half's VW Golf!. Pan roof is a nice to have, but not worth the £2k price tag IMO. Having tested the 3D BOSE in a demo car I was left very underwhelmed, certainly not worth the £1k. The difference between the standard and BOSE is marginal. I don't do enough mileage to warrant getting lane assist etc, so the only ticked interior options I would put on a regular S-Line is Leather, Virtual Cockpit and Smartphone interface, which is now all standard on the SQ7.

My dealer told me this morning that they have been informed to expect the systems to open for orders on Thursday.

I want to wait until spec comes first.....
Naive question; we will be paying full whack and no discount?? Expect so, but have got spoilt with seeing 15% off a RS6, 20% off a X5M !
Though as long as GFV is strong it does not really matter...

My dealer has told me that any discount available can/will only be calculated once they know what GFV values are. GFV values may take a few days to come through, but they are hoping/expecting for launch. Until then it'll be a list price order.

Sorry been in meetings all day. Just spoke to my dealer and he said there's still nothing on 'Desktop' or in the system. He gave AUK a call at lunchtime but nobody who was there knew anything. Somebody did tell him it's now "end of the month for order opening and first deliveries will be September", my dealer said that didn't sound credible, but Didn't rule it out. Later this afternoon he spoke to his AUK main contact and was told that they were still not ruling out the 22" wheels for UK market but would not confirm... all said, apparently, with a wry chuckle. He was told, "you'll find out in the coming days, marketing are still finalising some things".

Read of that what you will. I have no reason to distrust my dealer, so I would say we've got a few more days to wait until it opens.

I was told by my dealer that orders wouldn't be open till July!!! First orders arriving September as is their demo which I will be the first to sample.

Thanks both - given I was all set on a RS6 1 week ago I am surprised just how much the idea of a SQ7 has grown on me
Don't like this waiting around though !
