FWIW AUK won't be able to do much. It's a used car so a dealer issue. All they can do is broker for you, and I don't think you're at that point.

Crikey sounds like a complete pain in the arse. I had a similar issue with a R8 a few years ago (but not so bad). As it was bought in finance I had a lot of come back and ended up getting 2k in compensation from the dealer and it eventually sorted out.
I'm sure Audi UK would take a dim view of this specially things like a main dealer selling after market warrantys. I'm sure tracking is part of their supposed checks as well. If you are going to keep it at least get them to provide the proper warranty so you have peice of mind.

I'd dump it while you can.

The dealer network are by a large part a reflection of AUK who I've also found to be a shower of <beep>.

They have some good products but have no idea how to manage the product or the customers buying the product. This is a large part in my looking elsewhere.
It's quite leggy though with 58k miles. Not sure if the o/p says how old the car is though, but does mention extended warranty so perhaps it's close to 3yrs old.

The cars shagged, Id get rid or return asap. If you're having oil pump problems now, there'll be other probs down the line, and not all are likely to be covered under warranty. Engine out jobs are always riddled with issues post repair, and a rocking drivers seat says it all on how its been used!
Don't be tempted to keep it just coz it was cheap and you wont be able to "afford" another.
The residuals are dropping big time and if you wait a while, you'll be able to get a mint 14 plater for not much more than what you paid for this..

Good luck!

if you are keeping it tell them to reinstate the extended Audi warranty so you have peace of mind at least.
Guys are on about Audi service but having dealt with BMW and Porsche over the years have found them no worse or better.
The best was Lexus by a country mile just a pity the cars are shix

Sounds like a pisstake to me.

Very old trick for the dealer not to fix issues and then ask the customer to claim under warranty (oil leak) and insurance (windscreen). If you buy a second hand car and insure it, insurance will not cover any pre-existing damage. Any dealer would know this?!

Personally I'd give them an ultimatum. Replace the windscreen at Audi including ADAS recalibration, and throw in the extra years Audi extended warranty you'd agreed as part of the sale, and get a half decent loan car from Audi whilst yours has the engine out, otherwise come and collect the car and return the £44k.

So, having slept on it, I will reject the car and send it back. What a <beep> faff, but I think you are right, has put a very sour taste in my mouth and really put me off the car.

Good call returning it, stick to your guns though don't let them change your mind, as others have said engine out is a big job, not to be looked upon lightly!

You'll always be worrying about what else may go wrong - I'd also be surprised if they don't have it straight on forecourt!

Sounds like a 'get what you pay for' situation. All reasonably small issues but all add up to a lemon. Get rid, break ties, pay a decent price for a properly looked after one. Be happy.

I didn't think it was particularly cheap relative to mileage? I would have expected this sort of thing from an average independent dealer, but when buying direct from Audi, I am shocked to say the least.

Didn't someone on here say it t was there old car and was all good when you were buying it?

Anyway good call rejecting it. Don't let this put you off others though as they are great cars and are generally well made and reliable.

Not forgetting that you said this was a one owner car which was "supplied and maintained by Belfast Audi all its life". What possible excuse could they have for sending it to you as it is. I would definitely return it and never buy anything from them again!

They are either incompetent or just lying to you - one or the other, and probably both.

Good luck Vestax.
