Cheers Ross, my car is well overdue a detail, I would love to do this myself, however my life is so hectic ATMAwwthanks man. Means a lot coming from you as I'm quite envious of your car lol.
Mine was just over a grand. Front half of wings, front bumper, full bonnet, wing mirrors.MikeFish wrote:I paid £750 for my front end. But it was having a full detail at the same time by someone else (but shared unit) so the wrap guy didn't have to clean, clay bar, prep etc, just literally stick on the pre cut sheets.
But yes, 1.5k seems to be the norm.
Eh?S4WON wrote:Personally, i just get on with it and then when your done or sell it on, get it professionally detailed and itll be as good as new again.. Unless its chipped which a film does nothing about anyway
Lifes too short!
Yep, same here - front + mirrors quoted at £1200+ VAT. On the face of it a fair chunk of cash but worth every penny for a clean front end. Can't wait....SteveH wrote:How much did you pay for film??? I'm thinking about this at present, seems to be circa £1,500 for front?
But you could have the whole front re-painted for less than that. And as the film isn't impenetrable and should it have to cover off I don't really see the benefit. I'll just get it painted.Paul789 wrote:Yep, same here - front + mirrors quoted at £1200+ VAT. On the face of it a fair chunk of cash but worth every penny for a clean front end. What do you do when you get a stone chip driving home from the bodyshop? Turn around and hope for a discount for being a repeat customer?doodlebug wrote:But you could have the whole front re-painted for less than that. That's life. What happens when you peel off the vinyl and half the paint comes with it? Swings and roundabouts for me. I'll opt for paint and a surface that will take a polish. Polishing clingfilm is pointless.RossDagley wrote:What do you do when you get a stone chip driving home from the bodyshop? Turn around and hope for a discount for being a repeat customer?
