Official RS6 Pic thread
Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
Yes PCP. Good discounts of about 14 or 15% available. Give carwow a try with your spec and see what you get offered, there is no hassle to buy and no phone calls or anything like that.

ThanksCheib wrote:You need to take out PCP to get the discount....which is £7k in cash terms.jimmckay9999 wrote:If you don't mind me asking was it a PCP you took to get the discount.MikeFish wrote:My car was about 86 basic, 94k list with options, paid high 79k.
Wasn't really looking for an RS6 but seems there are some decent deals.
Ive seen 11.8K contribution on the PCP on basic Avant .Not sure if that was any good.
15% is achievable (which is what you seem to have already got!) and the PCP can be paid off without penalty...see separate thread where I asked that very question!
Though id probably need the pcps option as I don't have the spare 70K under the mattress

The pcp is at 4.9% so not bad rate.
Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
If you dont have a spare 70k then go into this knowing you WILL take a beating on depreciation, even with RS models. Expect to lose 10-20k when you drive it off the forecourt.
#realitycheck
Maybe let someone with deeper pockets take the hit, save up a bit and but one fully loaded a few years older

Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
Yup. It's a £40k hit over three years or so for a new one less if you don't tick any boxes! I am not very good at the latter though. Last two cars I have bought have had £15k and £10k of options and the £10k one was a Mini for the wife!S4WON wrote:If you dont have a spare 70k then go into this knowing you WILL take a beating on depreciation, even with RS models. Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
If you can stick to basic spec on the pcp at 8k miles a year it is £800/mt and 6k down-equates to £34800 over 3 years.
It does break through the 10k per year barrier right enough which is a mental hurdle for me though I did just lose 7k in 4 months on a new M3 I bought and didn't like so hey ho.
What are the essentials apart from basic spec-bigger wheels and sports exhaust-anything else?

Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
Most of the essentials are on the Performance Edition over the standard car so you may as well spec that!
Popular ones are the panoramic roof, red brake callipers and parking pack and depending on personal preference advanced key, Audi connect are also popular.

Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
Id have to have heads up, but thats personal pref.
Like Cheib says, speccing PE is the way to go now for new i think
Only thing id personally never bother with is ceramics and B&O
Its also bigger than you think so top down camera very handy
Really though, whatever you get itll be aweseome

Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
Yup. On PCP after three years the PE retains I think £4K of it's £7k price premium. Given the extra spec plus if you like the Alcantara (which I do) I think it's the only way to go.
Other essential is one of the "packs" e.g. Black Optics pack which again is included on the PE.

Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
I think future value is pretty irrelevant, we've seen the whack that these cars are taking and there's a lot of them about. Likely supply will outstrip demand down the line.
Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
I don't think there are any must have options, it has the basics (well, its way more than the basics), the rest is personal taste / choice. For me not having ale optics was a must. The wheels and exhaust are easy enough to change and I'll probably do them even though I have the nice wheels and sports exhaust. Oh and DRC for me was a must have! So much better than air I think.
Assistance pack is a must if you do a lot of motorway miles. Parking pack plus is very useful especially if you parallel park a lot (so far I have found it to be too slow and easier and quicker to park myself but worth it for the cameras). Connect is great with touchpad, i was looking for a cafe the other day when i was almost there so needed quick directions so i Drew out the 1st three letters and it found it in google maps in seconds.

Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
Thread revival. There are a few new cars on the forum so thought I'd bring this one back to the top. Bit too much jabbering and not enough pictures too!
