Post by M1R XE » Sun Sep 27, 2015 10:45 pm

Hi guys most other bmw mclaren and Porsche have bedding procedure for CCB whether official or just something owners decided to do not sure. But got the ceramics on the RS6 and tbh feel crap not much brake feel not powerful at all and I genuinely think they need this bedding in procedure that everyone's doing. Any suggestions thoughts on this guys ???? Thanks :beerchug:

The ceramics on mine are rediculously powerful. Feel can be a little off when cold but no were near as ceramic brakes of yester-years! My car had already done 10k when i bought it so unsure about a 'bedding-in' proceedure.
Sold: 2012 RS3 APR St2 exclusive buckets!
Sold: 2014 Audi S4 Avant Black Edition (too slow as a stock car-doesn't sound good);

This is for R8...

1. brake pads new, brake disc new

- 10 stops from appr. 80km/h to appr. 30km/h with light deceleration
- 20 stops from 100km/h to appr. 50km/h with medium deceleration
- avoid follow-on stops.
- between the individual stops let the brakes cool down.
- Duration of the procedure appr. 30 minutes

2. brake pads new, brake disc used

- 5 stops from appr. 80km/h to appr. 30km/h with light deceleration
- 10 stops from 100km/h to appr. 50km/h with medium deceleration
- avoid follow-on stops.
- between the individual stops let the brakes cool down.
- Duration of the procedure appr. 20 minutes.

Kind Regards
