+1

Progressive indicators are quite impressive to witness, however I also think the new headlights seem less aggressive and, as debated before, are a little less exclusive looking now that the S-Line A6s come with the same appearance LEDs as standard (Matrix looking the same while off!). LEDs were always on option on the A6, however I have yet to see a pre-FL A6 in the flesh that actually has them.

Each to their own of course- the only FL change I might have delayed my order for would have been the upgrade to the MMI, but then again that fell well short of the Virtual Cockpit that the processor upgrade etc probably could have supported.

It's a shame, but from the video it would appear that the aftermarket 'sweeping' looks low rent compared the the real thing.

Usually when I read on forums that people prefer an older model (usually that they own) over a newer model I roll my eyes but ,on this rare occasion, I genuinely prefer my pre Face lift.

I love my cars and like them looking special & different and lights are an evermore important feature. The pre FL lights identify 'RS6'' whereas I'd have to 'second look' an A6 to check- you really shouldn't have too!

well said. And fully agreed. Ihave no problem admitting that i prefer the later model when i do but in this case i think the headlights look much better, meaner and cooler in the pre FL. The rear headlights look probably better in the FL not tht much for sweeping indicators which is nice but in mind a bit of gizmo which i am not sure i want to see on a high end car but i like the darkened lights

Exactly. That's my point. It is a gizmo not worthy of a high end car

I have the plug in module that makes them sweep, not as good as the 6 I know, but still a good mod IMO

The modules just add a delay between the inner and outer units. They don't sweep, however you can hardly tell the difference, had mine beside a new FL at the dealer to compare. It a simple mod that any one with a brain can try so why not.

The best thing about the FL headlights, is the matrix headlights, they really are clever. Now it is darker in the evenings I have had a chance to use and play.
