All of those parts are sitting on a car in a scrappie's in Poland currently. They also have a driver's door in sepang but no matching passenger door.

Dunno, not sure I'd fancy the engine out of that!

Sorry to hear this....that's just shows you these rs6's aren't indestructible. Hope you get sorted. Who did the tune?

What do you mean by cylinder 1 is stripped? Why would you need a new block, pistons and cylinder head?

Has the piston broken, has the connecting rod come through the block, has the pistons caused head/valve damage?

I know English is not your first language but I would be interested to know what has gone wrong? Any pictures would be great?

Reading your previous posts, it looks like you bought the car in December and have had issues with it since, you have had an on-going issues with Cylinder 1 misfires by the look of things?

Also, I am unsure if your car is running modified ecu software (remap) or a piggyback/tuning box that is fooling sensors to extract more performance?

What's the quality of fuel like on reunion island? Octane rating? Due to your location, a fix is likely to be very expensive, we have reliable engine tuners and builders here in the UK that would no doubt be able to tune and rebuild your engine but that's no help to you when you live on a tiny island in the middle of the Indian ocean.

Have Audi actually denied a warranty claim on the car, if so, why? Did it flag with a TD1 warranty code due to modified software and you have it in writing that they are refusing to warranty your engine?

Google translate into French if you are having issues reading the above in English below...

LOL.

Bring it to the UK, all will be fine.

On a serious note, was the car bought from an Audi dealer? If so then responsibility should still sit with them? If not, who did the tune as if the tune is attributable to the failure then you should be looking for redress from the tuner.

when you open the bonnet, the cylinder 1 is the first cylinder at the left near the light.
audi check the cylinder with camera (endoscopie in french), you can see a lot of stripped, it may be a the failure of pistons ring.
audi refuse to repair because , there is a chip tuning. and they refuse to continue to strip an engine. so i dont know what is the antoher problem
so the cylinder head it may be failure ? or the valve? or other parts.
so i must to drive the rs6 to another garage and check all the problem : cylinder? cylinder head? pistons..

i ask audi, what is the cause?
they say : it may be :
oil
too much breaker engine
spark adavance (octane is ron 93 and the remap is for ron 98)

so if i buy the parts is very expansive, so i would like to buy an used motor with low milage.
bloc in euro : 5600€
boc + cylinder head : 11600€
pistons x8 : 2400€
engine (not used) 25 000€
engine used : 8700€

but i don t trust an used motor...i dont if it was robbed, or crash or failure;...so if all the members have some informations to buy a correct engine, could you inform me...i am disgust, i pay 2500€ / month my credit, i am inflow 40000€...and my rs6 is failure!!!!

so less good solutions is an used motor...do you knwon where and who to contact?

It is very unlikely you need a new engine from what you describe, cylinder head off and an inspection of the pistons and valves certainly but I dont think you have done any bottom end damage to the rods or the block itself

You should not have been using 93 octane on a 98 tuned car, recipe for disaster but usually the ECU safeguards the hardware and puts the engine into limp home mode.

Are you on Facebook? There are Audi tuner groups on there where you can ask advice

Audi S/RS Group
Audi RS Tuning
VAG Tuning

You will get better answers on there from dedicated engine rebuild specialists as to what the issue may be and what you can do. There must be an engine specialist on your island somewhere who can take the head off and inspect the pistons and valves?

It can't be that hard to rebuild, new piston, rings, cylinder block, gaskets... Might need to lap the valves but I'd imagine the head would be ok.

You might be able to sell the engine as it is to help fund a 2nd hand engine from the scrapie.

Did you know it had a remap when you bought it and was it stated on the invoice? If not you could try claiming ignorance and go legal. Thats your best move right now.

Again, and ive said it 1000000 times, do NOT assume you have any coverage on ANY part when buying a modified car, you dont. Ive even scanned pages from official audi documents and people still dont listen.

To those, you have it coming. Bend over and open up.

It is certainly safe to assume you have coverage on any unconnected part, done to death elsewhere & this failure even i'd deem as possibly being a result of the tune given the o/p's location amongst other things. Can't imagine MRC rocking up on his island with a dyno for a tuning session.

That said, the o/p is being very vague with the tune & purchase details which i find very odd. As you said above, if it was bought unknown then a claim exists with the supplying dealer. If it was bought knowing then a claim surely exists with the tuner.
