Anyone on the standard 20s?

Post by sixspeed » Thu Feb 05, 2015 12:55 pm

Pictures seem to be hard to find of the standard fit 20s (it seems like the 21s are one of those default options), but is anyone here running them on their C7 and could share some pictures.

I seem to remember when I did see a few early photos that they did actually look quite good. In fact I preferred the design of them over the design of the 21s, as they had quite a deep concave profile.

If anyone can share some more pictures it would be appreciated!

Thanks for that. So I am confused. Does anyone know what these are, because I thought these were the 20" wheels?

But the configurator shows something much flatter in design, and more like these:

Are they a European option? Because I can't find anything that looks like the concave design in the photos on the configurator...

The configurator does not represent the 20" concave wheels correctly at all. The wheels on the configurator look exactly like the last pic above - which are undoubtedly some winter wheel option in Germany.
I have seen a few cars on the standard 20" and they are very attractive wheels. If it weren't that the 21" design is so gorgeous (in my mind), I would have happily had my car on the 20's.

PS: The daytona grey and red cars above are running on the standard 20" wheel that is fitted to UK-spec cars.

I think that the white german car is on winter tyres indeed. I have two sets of alloys, one like the white car (which according to the specs were for winter tires which btw are not as wide as the regular 20' or 21' (240 vs 285). I bought my car in Germany too

Does anyone know the width and offset for these wheels? They might look nice on my car, not seen that done before.

I think if these were sprayed a little darker they would look just as nice as the 21" wheels on the RS6.

I completely agree with what the OP says about the RS6 C7 20inch wheels. I ordered a new RS6 in July with 20 inch wheels as per above pics. They were diamond cut and IMO opinion looked like the dogs wotsits. Unfortunately I didn't like the xenons so I ordered a replacement C7 with LEDS, I did spec the 21 inchers second time round and although they fill up the wheel arches better they are nowhere as dished as much as the 20's
