Potential new owner??

Post by kiN » Sun Apr 13, 2014 5:55 pm

Hi guys, after a few years absence, I've decided my next car is going to be a RS6, unless Audi going to fit the same engine into a RS4!

But its not going to happen yet for my current lease deal has another 12 mths to go!! I wasn't going to post until nearer the time, but there are a couple of questions I wanted to ask, so here I am !

A: How long do I need to wait for a factory car?

B: Came across a post where a member said the brake discs needed replacing at 15000miles for several thousand pounds, is that right?

Thanks in advance :beerchug:

A. Work on 6 months, not likely to be much less, but could be more depending on spec.

B. If driven as it's meant to 15k is about right for discs.

Thanks Doodlebug.

The spec I am thinking of would be fairly basic, std 20" wheels for ride comfort, Prism silver, debadge, privacy, heated front and rear seats, and the all important sport exhaust, thats about it!!

As for the brakes, I don't track my car. So hopefully it'll last a bit longer than 15000miles! Rather use the money for fuel and give the engine a good workout :bigblink:

Edit: forgot to add LED light. Preferred my car to be understated, hence silver, and its easier to keep clean.

Also I have tried carwow to see if its any good??

Got quotes from a measly £2700 to £6600 discount , did anyone get more discount than that?

Try Broadspeed. Don't expect massive discount on this car, though should be able to achieve 10-11%.

Completely forgotten about broadspeed ! Nearly £10k discount.

Only checked out Drivethedeal previously, £6k discount, but they give nearly £22k discount on S8 which was tempting.

Had a A8 before, it was a nightmare in multi-storey car park!!

+1 for broadspeed - first time I used them and they are very professional and got 11% off.

I imagine with that spec you'd be able to get the car sooner then three months as it's the sort that Audi would have on the order list with amendable options

Just curious on what specs did you changed to get extra 1% discount? I am assuming you went for a ready built car instead?

Kin,

Added the Carbon Pack... eyewatering option price, but the higher price attracted a bit more discount... car is built to order, expected delivery is July/August according to my latest update from the dealer.

Audi Configurator Code is: AC3WVWK6 if that helps?

Original discount was 11.3% to be exact, same for GLM

Cheers

Yes just read your other posts.

Although I would have gone for your original choice Prism Silver with Alu pack. Only if you wanted to be subtle.

But Daytona is very nice as well, I think that was the colour I picked for my RS4 all those years ago :)

Regardless, I bet you can't wait!! :biggrin3:

Don't like the full fat RR...,

The other option was a new model RRS, v8 supercharged which surprisingly has less space in the back for the rods.

My current A6 Avant does the job perfectly, so RS6 it had to be...

Never like the RRS, new or old, poor rear legroom for its size! If only Fullfat RR give similar incentive deals, I would seriously consider it too!

I had one before, it was almost regal when you're in the driving seat, luvverly!!
