I guess so - I didn't think about it at the time, but you must be right. Marvellous noise.

Black tips are the clue.

I thought the suspension was OK in comfort, agreed dynamic was a bit hard. Did your demo car have standard air or optional springs?

I didn't check the exhaust tips - should have taken some photos.

The suspension was definitely the springs/DRC option. I specifically asked that because of the harder ride than expected, so he checked the computer to confirm. It wasn't terrible in Comfort, it's just that I was expecting it to be at least as soft as the C6. Interesting that the suspension only has 2 settings: Comfort/Dynamic; the 3 settings on the C6 covers a wider spread of stiffness.

Anth8910 silverlink. And muzzlehuch yep absolutely correct what your saying maybe I was a bit excited. Hah and thought its softer along with lighter steering. But people who haven't been in a stage 2 RS6 with filters the way the dials climb is daft got to go in one to beleive it. No doubt the C7 is a machine and would love one.

As previously posted Teesside Dealership gave me the keys from 1030 til 1730 on Monday which was nice! If your from round here speak to Lucy as she was very helpful with organising it.

I was blown away by the amount of gadgets on it but lets face it theres 10 years between mine and this one. I thought the steering was very firm and purposeful and it sticks to the road like glue with the 21" wheels, don't know if this had the uprated suspension as it had comfort, dynamic, and two other choices but dynamic was far smoother then my h&r coilovers. I loved it and lets face it its a great car but I was still happy driving away in mine at the end of the day. I definitely know why its been recommended to get the sports exhaust as it did seem a lot quieter than I expected but in sport it did hint at what it was capable of. I still didn't get used to the engine half shutting down when waiting at junctions etc but it was great to hear it come back in when setting off. All in all I would say when they depreciate I'd have one in an instant!

Fffffffffwaaaaarrrrrh! ^ That first photo! Awesome! It's aping the B7 only with more brawn and heft. I'd though Audi had lost it but that C7 is a spot on.

WANT.

Had the pleasure of this one for two days

I also had it overnight, gave me a chance to get a shot of the door sill illuminated

Having never driven any of the previous RS6 models I have no comparison on performance, however against the current RS4 it is quite a bit quicker.

Without going into detail it's a fantastic package, and as an everyday car the best I've ever driven. Having borrowed an R8 v10 spyder pre face lift and an R8 v10 plus in the last six months this is up there as the best overall package. You don't get the noise and drama of the R8's but you do get somewhere to put the family, dog, shopping etc with in my opinion similar performance.

Anyway, must be good as an order has been placed, not in a hurry for it though and have been told it won't be until March 2014 which suits me fine.

You're a brave man! What's the option count?

Doing PCP with a contribution?

Brave, maybe, stupid might be another word but I work hard and enjoy my motors so why not? (I'm justifying this to myself rather than anybody else :drink:

Spec is as follows;

Daytona Grey
Black leather
Mat Aluminium Styling Pack
21" wheels in titanium
Dynamic Pack
Telephone prep high
Pan roof
Heated rear seats
Carbon inlays
Sports exhaust
Reversible luggage mat
Privacy glass
Audi parking system with top view
Adaptive cruise control with side assist and lane assist pre sense
Advance key with hands free boot opening

Haven't yet decide on how I'm going to purchase this. At first I wasn't overly impressed with the figures but the dealership are going to sell mine on a sale or return basis rather than as a trade in. If for any reason I don't get the figures I'm looking for then I don't have to have the car, just keep mine as I haven't had to put a deposit down and they will sell as a stock car. They are going to lend me "something decent" while my car is put up for sale. The agreement was it would have the letter S or R or both in the title. I will eventually decide on how to pay once the build date is confirmed. Usually don't do PCP as I never keep the car long enough but might look at it this time but with a big deposit.

Drove a C7!

Man maths! Any discount on offer?

No 'ramics? It's a big heavy monster to stop.

If only every dealer was so flexible, groan.

Couldn't really justify the 'ramics and the steels on the demo car were as good as the RS4's. I don't do track days and I never seem to keep a car long enough to gain the savings on replacement costs on standard steels.

I think my dealer is flexible with me as this will be my seventh Audi in five years from them. I can now physically see them rubbing their hands every time I walk in the dealership

Steels are fine unless you are doing trackdays
