Check out plasti dip, they have just painted their R8 with it, vinyl wrapping takes too long, and is old fashioned and on its way out.
And there are a few companies in the uk who use the plasti dip system.
Liquid Wrap in surrey quoted me just £600 for matt black or £700 with pearliazer added, for my rs6.

Re: Matt paint or Matt wrap?
Asked Audi about matt paint and I was advised against t. Apparently it has problems with bird poo, can't obviously polish it as it goes shines and the touch up of chips can be done but not to the traditional flat level of the original paint. So m going to wrap it

I agree, matte paint looks the nuts but it will be a nightmare to look after. Better off with a wrap as you can replace at any time and its looking after your gloss finish too..!
