Sorry fellas not been on the site for a good while due to passing my motorbike full licence so been getting some miles under my belt and I fekin love it
Anyway the M5 will be going soon, 2 years have gone like lightning and the M5 has not missed a single beat it's been a beast of a car I'd have another in a heartbeat. Not sure yet what's gonna replace it but after a test drive of the new M3 I'm warming towards one unless Audi can twist my arm with a good deal on an RS4.

Deal or not, I can't see why you'd buy the B8 over the M3! It's years younger with much newer tech and a better chassis/handling plus quicker, the B8 is nearing end of production now. Buy the M3!!

The first batch of A4 diesels in Sepang with 19" V Spokes have just started coming through too.

Agree on the above, but not about better handling, better at going sideways maybe
If you want an estate maybe the new c63?

You'd be surprised at how well the M's hold the road as this AWD vs. RWD advantage is only really in all but the worst conditions & even then you'd be hard pushed or a bit crazy to want to cane your AWD car.
That said i see both sides. Also agree with above that considering a B8 over the newer M3 is a strange scenario & even more so given the difference in stature of the 2 engines as the B8 V8 although a great engine is now somewhat long in the tooth compared to it's rivals.

If I was in the market for a brand new car,I wouldn't be putting it down on a b8 tbh
I would go for something fresher,m3 no doubt will be fun, I'm just not that into bm's however the new one looks good!!

Neither was I, until I drove one. The handling/balance and turn in was a new concept to me after a load of performance Audis, makes up for the interior. Not that BMW make a bad one, it's just Audi do them much better IMO.

Curious on your comment about interiors. No doubting Audi's do a good job inside but having owned both i'd doff my cap slightly in favour of the high end BM's over the high end Audi's. Not that much in it & looks of course are a personal preference, but BMW for me are often a model generation ahead. For instance the F10 M5 was launched when the C6 RS6 was current & the M5 makes the C6 interior look quite dated. Now of course Audi have caught up with the C7 & have since the launch just applied a facelift so definitely caught up.
Of course this probably just belies the fact that both mfctrs launch across each other.
My other favour is technology as it's often BMW that are 1st with some of the key advances, but again that's probably personal taste & a bit of the above.

Take a look at the Chris Harris C63s review, it's an impressive bit of kit.
